Re: The Politics Thread
I used to watch multiple news channels to get "more" on a story. Today, it's completely 180-degree. Like the text to the reporter about the war. One channel is OMG, and the other channel it didn't happened. So watching the news felt like I'm in completely different country. Or even time zone.
I turn the TV off completely when the (you know which channel) would say..."Semi truck accident on Hwy 16 in Texas caused a 7-hour backup, and it's the result of Joe Biden's policy...And Nancy Pelosi's pro stance on...."

I believe the new auto tariffs which will charge a 25 percent tariff on auto parts and autos is intended to increase profits for the Tesla since most of its parts come from the US but their prices will increase due to supply/demand. Unfortunately, the big 3 auto manufacturers use foreign parts as well as have automated manufacturing in South America/Central America due to the absence of UAW. Reminds me of the speech made by Lee Iococca before his retirement at Chrysler when he said remember Pearl Harbor buy American. That was so funny to me because 70% of the inside of the Chrysler autos came from Japan.

Trump's cabinet, especially the ogres who were in on the Signal text chat, are grossly incompetent. Hegseth needs to be fired, and others reprimanded at minimum.

Oh no. Those panic buyers going to empty the shelves of toilet paper at Costco. A big storm tariff is coming.

Walmart, Costco and Target strategizing on costs but it eventually will be passed on to consumers.

I wonder if the 50% who voted for Trump are now thinking that the recession is coming because of the Democrats. And, how many of them actually have to find jobs because their retirement funds have been depleted by the 3000 point two day loss in the DOW. One thing Machiavellian management doesn't mention is to create chaos to make people believe that their job is necessary. I proclaim that Trump is doing just that.

It's so crazy that it just might work. "Crazee" has been happening a lot in politics. "Might work" is a different story.

Trumpers no doubt blame Biden for anything bad happening now.shrek2 wrote: Fri Apr 04, 2025 9:11 am I wonder if the 50% who voted for Trump are now thinking that the recession is coming because of the Democrats. This an attorney joke but it follows along the same lines as the Trump power structure. How do you know when Trump and his staff is lying? Their lips are moving. Several stations to pick from and every time I see Karoline Leavitt on CNN, I just watch without the sound.

Besides being a strong man that Cheeto Jesus desperately admires, Putin must still have something blackmailable on him. Golden shower videos perhaps?Walkoff Balk wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 5:24 pm https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... 266&ei=121
