I wonder about this before. Just wondering if MWC had bigger plans to bring other sports in? Could football ever go back to the WAC?

What this all comes down to is whether UH can create a marketable product that will make it desirable for other teams to want to schedule with them. Win, win, win or have people selling UH football.

Very true. Sort of sad when we now have to view a game, a sport, as a business, as entertainment, and as a marketable product.

Once again, UH is going into a modern battlefield only armed with a musket.
Hawaii, a state of 1.4 million people. Itʻs a wonder who we field two state-fed institutions (Manoa and Hilo) can field NCAA D1 and D2 programs respectively. With no current billionaire UH fan, sometimes I wonder just how much longer we can keep propping up the house with scotch tape and bubblegum.

The Nevada beat writer thinks that UH should join the MWC as a full-member....but doubtful since the other sports are a better fit with the Big West Conference.

If the mountain west agrees to get rid of travel subsidies from Hawaii, then I could see Hawaii joining as a full member since they do pay for travel subsidies for Big West schools.

Sacramento State is looking to make a push to get into the conference. They need to make their stadium Pac worthy and also come up with $5M for entry fee. But, they do have great athletes in the area.

They beat Stanford last year ( the same Stanford team that beat us)!

Frank DeLima went blue humor. It's more like Mel Cabang type of comedy. I still see the late Mel Cabang in the Battery Bill commercial.

MWC can survive if all remaining schools (Air Force, Wyoming, Nevada, New Mexico, San Jose St & Hawaii) all stay and they get New Mexico St to leave a CUSA and get a Texas team to leave CUSA or Sun Belt for a 8 team conference. Otherwise Hawaii is doomed
