Reloading indeed, with big shoes to fill. Looking forward to seeing all of the newcomers in action.

I watched the 2020 UH vs. Grand Canyon match on YouTube. There was a camera shot of Charlie Wade's son Kainoa. Was that the same kid who's now a 6 foot 8 inches high school student?

Looks like UH has a franchise setter in Tread Rosenthal. In the volleytalk site there was over reaction to a loss to Loyola of Chicago. If both teams were vying as bubble teams in getting into the tournament. UH did split the series with one being a sweep.

Going to be an interesting season with so many newcomers needing to mesh with the veterans and new starters on the court.

Are the bench players allowed to over celebrate like the Bozos in men's college volleyball? I memba that the Long Beach St. bench did that sarcastic canoe paddling celebration. I think that stop when UH started to beat Long Beach St.

Spyros Chakas is a fierce competitor who went all out on every play. That's why UH fans appreciated him.

The Stan Sheriff Arena didn't play Brother Iz's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" during the senior night ceremony. That song gives it a more chicken skin feel to the celebration.

Too much Henno ball and Hero ball of service errors doomed UH in the Big West Tournament.

Jesus christ! They're out of the playoffs. 6-5 Tread Rosenthal sucks as a player for UH.

LBSU is about to win the Big West Championships. #1 seed over the #2 UC Irvine. 4th set now. It looks like it's only going to 4 sets. In all likelihood Hawai'i is going to get in because of LBSU. Hawai'i gets the at-large bid into the NCAA playoff Championships. And not UC Irvine. #3 seed. UC Irvine at 19-10 record may get the shaft. And not the at-large bid. Hawai'i is 23-7 overall gets the nod. Big West conference. If all goes as planned. 19-10 LBSU in the 4th set, about to take the match in the 4th set. That's my opinion. 25-23, 21-25, 25-16, 25-15 is the final score And Tread Rosenthal is not a suck player. They made it in. AT 6-8. They'll black out the NCAA playoff on the first few rounds. But televise the finals.

I don't want to hear about UH should schedule tougher in the beginning of the season. You saw how banged up they were by the Big West tournament. The UH men's volleyball team is the ambassador to grow the sport by scheduling colleges you never heard of. They would sprinkle in a tough road match against a Ball St. or Stanford.
