Re: New UH AD recommended by Pres. Lassner
Fundraising, marketing & decision-making evidently weren't his strengths at FAU resulting in his termination (after 8 years).

Sounds good so far. Hopefully he learned to do more for fundraising, marketing and decision making in the intervening years to make up for any short-comings. Amazingly, Lassner stepped out of the easy selections from within. The assistant AD's become even more important no matter who got the job.

Fun Fact:
》Craig was at FAU (their last year at DIAA) when their 2004 team beat a Senior Led Timmy Chang team
》Craig was a baseball player at BYU and competed against the Bows

Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

Big money? Or crap dice? I guess UH going all in on this gamble. Folks in these parts got every reason to be like…WTF?!?
This one simply smells like a search committee who went strictly by MQ’s and DQ’s. And in those qualifications, “connections to the community” took a lower priority to things like fundraising and stadium construction. Search committees will only do what they are charged to do. Even if their actions are robotic and comes with no soul.

On his Football Agenda:
- New Aloha Stadium maybe opens in 2028? Until then the 9000 seat stadium, even if upped to 15,000 will be the smallest D1 stadium
- Cannot even get 9000 turnstile count
- Will new renovated Campus stadium be finished by the start of 2023?
- With PAC12 disbanding, expect many MWC schools to jump. If so, here does this leave UH?
- Did season ticket renewals even go out yet?

What we don't know, and probably will never know due to privacy issues, is who else actually applied, and who were the other three to five finalists. Such secrecy, oh my.

But I'm glad that it wasn't Amemiya, Hanneman or Miano. All carry more baggage, not to mention a lack of D-1 athletic department experience.

I hope with a passion that Angelos is as passionate about UH athletics as Stan Sheriff was.
