He's 6-0, 330 with explosiveness, power, agility and quickness. He will be here for spring practice, so he could be a game one starter.

Sauce is correct, once you taste fruits from Hawaii, not going back to the stuff from Mexico.
He is a big boy. Got to watch that Local Moco intake. Food in Hawaii is dangerous.

Glad we are getting DTs that play on the other side of the line of scrimmage, TFL and sacks are critical and help the entire D.uhwarriors wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 10:59 pm He's 6-0, 330 with explosiveness, power, agility and quickness. He definitely needs to trim some weight, get better with pad level and using his hands bc bull rushing and overpowering everyone won't work at D1. Those are coachable.
Be humble and confident in yourself and all things you do.

Williams received several offers after amassing 11 sacks this past season. But with his mother’s blessing, he chose UH after they enjoyed a recruiting visit last weekend.
“It was all the love Hawaii’s shown,” Williams said. “Hawaii put a smile on my mama’s face in how they went out of their way.”
Williams joked his mother would be willing to relocate. “Oh, trust me, she’s been talking about it,” Williams said.
At 6 feet and 320 pounds, Williams has the strength and burst to play across the defensive line.
Williams said he got the nickname “Sauce” years before New York Jets rookie cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner rose to prominence.
“I got it from middle school when I was selling candy,” he said. “They were like, ‘Oh, man, he’s got the sauce. He always has it.’”

I'd like to see chang develop a jumbo package for plays within five yards of the goal line.

They lost their chance when Tavai left for SDSU. He was a really good rugby player. Most DL guys don't have the hands and feet to run the ball.
Be humble and confident in yourself and all things you do.

Re: "Sauce" Williams commits
Your point on bull rushing is valid. But I disagree on the trim weight thing. This is actually what we need for the interior d line. Gap integrity that we simply did not have with UH’s crew of light dline men. We had Blessman, and John too, but that was it. The lack of big, powerful dline allowed teams to pretty much have their way with us, especially early in the season. Teams with big, grinding offensive lines had field days when they played us. When your DB’s are leaders in team tackling, something is just not happening at the dline level. Based on his highlights, he plays well with his size. 330, sloppy slow and winded would not be good. Sauce does not come across as slow, nor sloppy. We need a fire hydrant in the middle.Palolo_2LA wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 6:42 am He definitely needs to trim some weight, get better with pad level and using his hands bc bull rushing and overpowering everyone won't work at D1.
