Bam Amina should be a priority to try to land in December. He played under Chris Brown at Bishop Gorman so that should help

Will he have to sit out a year or do they still get one transfer for "free"

Looks like a possible future starter but not a game changer.

Not a local guy but still a former UH verbal commit has now entered the portal as a graduate transfer with 2 to play 2.

Also not a local guy but still a former Nevada SB (who is familiar with Timmy & Sheffield along with some UH staff members who came over from Nevada) has now entered the portal as a December 2022 graduate transfer (from Colorado State) with 2 to play 2 (after deciding to leave the Rams after playing in 3 games in order to redshirt this season). Is the younger brother of former UH SB/WR Melquise. Was offered by UH (under Rolo) back in 2018 out of Gardena Serra HS. With Melquise & Melquan both offered by UH in 2018 as SBs, rumor back then was that the brothers purposely chose different schools to avoid competing against each other for playing time.

https://denvergazette.com/sports/csu-ra ... 885ec.html
https://www.coloradoan.com/story/sports ... 504441007/
Stovall was one of a handful of players who came over from Nevada with Norvell after last season and was the starting slot wide receiver for the first three games, beating out (Dante) Wright, who was previously a three-year starter for CSU prior to the new coaching staff arriving.

The California native has 121 catches for 1,170 receiving yards and one touchdown in his career. He has an older brother, Melquise, who is a wide receiver at Pitt and previously played at Hawaii.

“I’ve known Melquan [for] a long time,” Norvell said. “In this day and age in college football, these kids have so many choices. They have a short time to play, they want to be in a certain situation to play, it wasn’t quite what Melquan was looking for. He’s got two more years of eligibility. He wants to take this year off and take his chances playing in another program.

Tyler Manoa No Longer With UCLA Football, Enters Transfer Portal
Sam Connon - Oct 5

The defensive lineman-turned-left tackle left the team last week, coach Chip Kelly told reporters before practice Wednesday.

The Bruins have lost one of their longest-tenured players up front.

Left tackle Tyler Manoa has left UCLA football and will be entering the transfer portal, coach Chip Kelly told the media ahead of the team's Wednesday morning's practice. The fifth-year senior was a defensive lineman before this past spring, when he became the latest Bruin to move to the offensive line, but his career in Westwood came to a close last week.

Graduate transfer (redshirting this season) with 1 to play 1.

https://uclabruins.com/sports/football/ ... anoa/10439
https://www.si.com/college/ucla/footbal ... fer-portal
Manoa appeared in each of UCLA's first four games, but did not earn a start. By playing in fewer than five games, Manoa will likely be able to designate this season as a redshirt year when he seeks out additional eligibility from the NCAA.

From 2018 to 2021, Manoa played in 41 of the Bruins 43 games. He racked up 53 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, four passes defended and a forced fumble in his career on the defensive side of the ball.

Entered the transfer portal after the May 1st deadline, so would now have 1 to play 1.

Washington State WR Mitchell Quinn (Saint Louis ‘18) who chose to accept PWO offer from Wazzu (under former HC Mike Leach) over scholie offer from UH (under Rolo). Was placed in scholarship by Rolo in Summer 2021 at Wazzu but now is in the transfer portal with 2 to play 2.

University of Washington (and Kamehameha-Kapalama Schools '21) NG/DT Kuao Peihopa with 3 to play 3.

After playing 3 (of the first 4) games (i.e., did not play in Michigan State game), was suspended indefinitely the rest of the 2022 season (which ironically preserved his redshirt season) "for violation of team rules" (which reportedly involved a verbal disagreement with an assistant coach).

If we are implementing more R&S schemes I would want WRs with R$S experience. I wouldn't pursue players with one to play one.
