He was WSU's 4th string QB. In 2021, he played in 4 games and was 4 for 7 with 1 Int and 44 yards.

He wasn't a Rolo recruit. He didn't go to WSU to play in the RNS, he went there for Leach and the Air Raid. Was for awhile considered to be the next man up after Anthony Gordon graduated to run the Air Raid. Never could adjust to Rolo RNS. Maybe he can do better here.uhwarriors wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 9:43 am He was WSU's 4th string QB. In 2021, he played in 4 games and was 4 for 7 with 1 Int and 44 yards.

Hopefully. The RnS can be a hard concept for some to master.EITSwarrior wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 10:39 amHe wasn't a Rolo recruit. Guess this means no Jayden de Laura. Knew it was a long shot but was nice to dream about

CC transfer means everyone get chance for the starting job.
Re: Cammon Cooper transfer QB commits
He looks good on his highlight video - a lefty slinger. Can scramble a bit. Grad transfer with Finance degree. Chose UH for Shidler? Much warmer than Pullman for sure. Welcome!

I don't think any QB recruited by Leach was a Rolo Type QB, including Drew Bledsoe's son.uhwarriors wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 9:43 am He was WSU's 4th string QB. In 2021, he played in 4 games and was 4 for 7 with 1 Int and 44 yards.
Cooper will give Schager some immediate competition
Re: Cammon Cooper transfer QB commits
Hope he will push the freshman. We need more competition at QB.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.
“WELCOME HOME COACH” Go get’em Timmy

Nice! We still need a QB coach who can help our QB’s development and progress

Re: Cammon Cooper transfer QB commits
Norm Chow is not busy. You guys know more than I do. TG's offense does look more similar to Chow's offense, than Rolo's or variations of the RNS.
We can all agree that Chow was a horrible HC, but does anyone doubt he is a good QB coach? I know this will never happen, but it's a way for Chow to rewrite his legacy.
Dick Tomey came back to UH as a Special Teams coach to cap off his career. Why not bring back Chow?

In Rolo's first year
https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/wsu ... scrimmage/When Nick Rolovich was asked a fairly generic question in the post-scrimmage interview — “Did anyone in particular stick out to you today … that really just impressed you?” — the first-year coach made a request.
“Yeah, give me a position,” he said.
“Quarterback,” the reporter responded.
“Oh, I thought Cam did some good things today,” Rolovich said.
“Cam,” or Cammon Cooper, the redshirt sophomore from Utah, was initially the only player the coach singled out.

If Cooper is an Air Raid QB and not RNS, then dare I throw out the name Timmy Chang. Nevada is Air Raid, no?
Either case, Cooper should be a upgrade to CC's Read (once) and Run offense.
