Scott-64.6 (s-25)
Murray-55.6 (s-9)
Atimalala-56.1 (s-4)

Notes-
1. Hopp continues to improve, graded the highest amongst the O-line. Observation: plays bigger than his listed height and weight/310. I was looking at some highlights and I saw #77-he looks huge
2. Manning PBLK-(25.9)
3. Muasau PBLK-(18.5)
4. No drop passes in the game
5. Parson-24 carries for 136 yrds
6. All the receivers graded above 60.0 RNBL with Walthall grading 73.6. Hopp lead the team RNBK 76.1. Great team effort at RNBK.
7. Parsons (82.6) Hines (72.9), Philips 67.4) have shown improvement at PBLK
8. In 7 games the offense has allowed 11 sacks; currently ranks 52nd nationally. Last season O-line/offense ranked 115th in sacks allowed with 39.
9. 8 of 17 on 3rd downs; 4 of 4 on 4th downs. This is excellent. On Chad Owen's Pregame Show Friday before the game, Chang said we need to do a better job at converting 3rd downs.

Defensive Grades
(Pff.com)

Starters-

Tuitupou-(85.5)(s-36)
Taala-(66.4)(s-36)
Welsh-(66.0)(s-45)
Choi-(61.1)(s-42)
Nelson-(74.7)(s-66)
Kamana-(63.4)(s-8)
Edwards-(60.2)(s-68)
Manuma-(57.2)(s-68)
Taylor-(58.8)(s-62)
Pavihi-(45.7)(s-66)
Tufaga-(42.8)(s-8)

Reserves-

Evaimalo-(78.8)(s-26)
Wyatt-(68.8)(s-24)
Pei-(66.7)(s-61)
Lee-(66.3)(s-17)
Sagapolutele-(64.2)(s-16)
Jones-(64.2)(s-28)
Shaw-(61.5)(s-10)
Hausman-(57.6)(s-61)
Kema-(50.9)(s-7)

1. Rotating a lot of players and fresh legs on D-line; should bold well this week when UH plays CSU at altitude/temp projected to be in low 50's, high 40's.
2. 8 mistackles in game. Pavihi with 3.
3. Taylor made his day view, replacing Tufaga/out with injury. The radio announcers/JV raved about Taylor's play
4. Edward and Nelson continue to improve and are on the NFL scouts radar according to JV
5. Observation the D-linemen are lined up moreso in the B gaps (between T-G) the last couple of games. I haven't watched the games, but am only going on what I read off pff.com. It seem earlier in the season the alignment was different/moreso A gap*. True? It seems like Welsh/DE covers the C/lined up outside the tackle and also has B gap/containment responsibilities. The D-linemen lined up in the B gap can slide to A gap. In this game the D-linemen lined in the A gap only 7 times with Shaw taking all 7 snaps in this alignment.
*in the Vanderbilt game lined in the A gap-21x, WK-47x,
5. Secondary played well. Nelson targeted 2x-1 receptions/11 yards, Edwards 5x-2 receptions/18 yards, Hausman 5x-2 receptions/11 yards receptions, Manuma 4x/2 receptions/24 yards, Pei 0x/0 receptions. Nevada receivers had 5 drops.
6. Run defense allowed 89 yards. Last week against SDST only 95 yards. I hope this is a sign of good things to come.Has shown great improvement since allowing NMST game 357 yards rushing.
7. Defense-2 penalties Offense-6 penalties
8. Season high 7 tackles for loses; last week against SDST 6 TFL
9. Held Nevada to 3 of 13 on 3rd downs; Allowed 1 TD, 3 of 4 FG attempts

Team Grade-70.2; CSU graded 62.0 against Nevada, winning 17-14
