*** 2022 UH@SDSU Game Day Thread ***

Post by BigWave96744 »

Anyone here going?
Bet it will be bittersweet when Justus Tavai has to lineup against some of his bros like Vanderpool, Manning, Tanuvasa & Bernal-Wendt.

I kind of excited to see if anything changed over the Bye Week

Perfect bye week as TC is re-introducing the RNS and this give them some extra practice to learn the system.
Also perfect as Bowens is returning who is our speedster and Koali who is familiar with the RNS. I am hoping the offense will improve on running the RNS from 2 week ago.
If there is improvement from the O and our D can play bend but don't break D we get chance. Always get chance that's why you play the game! :hello1:

Here we go. A win here can shut up all the noise and the naysayers.

Well, hope those two weeks at least fixed the run D issues or SDSU is going run all over us like they did against Idaho State.

Don't want to be flattened by the run game. Again.

Guys, the Mountain West is a bit broken this year. I don't worry so much about Justus as I worry about his older brother. This game will be decided by the D. We are 20 point road dogs, but this could be a gift by the sharks. Guys like Justus may have left because they didn't like being coached by a mean coach...or they didn't like the mean coach yelling at their friends. No one can say for sure which Warriors left for what reason. Maybe the good players got cherry picked because we performed so well these past two years. Maybe, a Californian native player like Justus would want to return home after an adverse transition. The transition from a happy-go-lucky coach to draconian pandemic conditions and a mean coach may have been too much for a dude to bear.

Unless SDSU can manage a pass attack against our pass defense, I'd say we get chance.

Of course. We score 6 touchdowns and have the top offense in the country today I will go down to Petco and get an extra large can of Alpo and eat it for dinner.

I think Brennan's portal recruits is paying of quick dividends. Wouldn't doubt he and Codeiro get the coach and player of the year. If it's Boise and SJSU fro the CC, I would pick the Spartans. These guys are legit contenders for championship.

Brennan would be a great candidate for HC of Hawaii … Maybe we could trade their team and coach for ours using the portal

Yeah, not likely though. I'm surprised he's still coaching at SJSU after the 2020 season. Thought he would have some P5 callers but maybe the pandemic prevented that from happening.
