2. Huh-Why?-Yuh (0-1)
I used to get so mad at my social studies teacher back in eastern North Carolina when she would pronounce the name of the state Huh-Why-Yuh. But Saturday night after getting steamrolled 63-10 by Bottom 10 stalwart Van-duh-built, Rainbow Warriors QB-hero-turned-head coach Timmy Chang was likely saying it like that, too. As in "Huh, why, uh, did I come back here?"
Nonsense.

Ditto. Chang is a winner and an athlete. IMO, this loss is a good thing, so he can get this out of the way.

There was a video where Chang talked about his wife, and how supportive she is and is the real rock of the family.

Recall Chang's post playing days. He was sort of lost, and got into altercations with local mokes. Everyone grows up eventually.

Chang's wife looks Asian/local, but she is from Canada, so long way from "home."

Hawaii is Timmy's home but not hers.

I think how Chang feels will depend a lot of the support of his wife and family.

We all thought Rolo would be here for life (his wife is from Hawaii). But that didn't happened.

Take the Bottom 10 lumps and prove themselves to be better. That's all I ask.

Only can really go up from here, I don't see Hawaii jumping to #1 in the bottom 10. Well maybe after the Michigan game, but Hawaii will rebound around mid-season and get some badly needed wins to build confidence.

The way we are playing fight now we may only win one game this season. There are so many things to clean up. Can our coaches get it done? I don’t know. This upcoming game should give me a better idea as to where we are. I think Western Kentucky is a good team and will cause us a lot of problems. I think that they have a really good coaching staff.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

🌴“WELCOME HOME COACH”🌴 :hello1: Go get’em Timmy :hello1:

Hawaii football has seen better times. Irregardless of the current bottom 10 there's still much to be happy living in Hawaii-weather, food, women, LL champs, friends and family that I'm not going to let the performance of the Warriors get me down. As much as I am a die hard fan I much rather enjoy the ride even so if the wheels are falling off. Not in a thousand years would I trade places with an Alabama fan.

I was never a 100% Chang believer back in the day. Not because he wasn’t a great QB. I just think he was over-marketed by JJ and was not able to deliver in a particular game on ESPN. And this contributed to the “system QB” label bigger conference teams would lay on us. That is all on June Jones. Chang was young and doing his best.

I like Chang. Because he is the real deal right now. Even if he struggles, I don’t think we should be crapping on him. I vow not to lay any hate at this point. Too many coaches have been run out of town in a thankless manner. We need to stop that. They are all family.

New Mexico St lost to Minnesota 38-0 yesterday and drops to 0-2 and should move up in the bottom 10 😀

Maybe we get chance against the Aggies.

Yeah. I would think Dusquense or however you say that, NMST and maybe an upset of someone else? I got the O/U on our win total at 2.5

I'm not sure Hawaii will get out of the bottom 10 this season. Hawaii is already winless at Manoa this season and would be lucky to beat Duquesne at home in hollowed ground at Manoa. Matlin mistreating & backstabbed June Jones and now bad luck bachi ball has arrived. This is worse than Chow ball, Matlin you baboon thank you for sending Hawaii Football back to the rock bottom of college football.

Well, at least UMass lost about as bad as UH did, so we probably still going to hold the #2 spot this week.
