Re: 2022 UH Opponent's Schedules of Schedules, Week 2 - Michigan

Post by chawan_cut »

updated with week 2's results. what a crazy weekend of upsets of the top 25. Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Texas A&M.... Alabama pulled out a close one...
what'll happen this week?

anyways here's what happened last Sat with our opponents.
- Vandy came back down to earth, losing to the Demon Deacons. They get N. Illinois this week before going to Tuscaloosa in 2.
- W. Kentucky had a bye to rest up for the Hoosiers.
- Michigan should have no problem with Connecticut this week too
- Duquesne got into the win column over Thomas More. Hope they come here for a vacation all the way from Pennsylvania
- NMSU loses to border rival UTEP and have to go to angry Wisconsin this week who will look to prove their loss to Wazzu was a fluke
- SDSU had no issues with Idaho St but go to Utah this week
- Nevada loses in a shocker to FCS Incarnate Ward, who has a great program (their QB transferred to Wazzu that upset Wiscy). They now go to Iowa to face the Hawkeyes. Might not get better
- CSU loses to Middle Tennessee state and heads to the Cougars in Pullman this week
- wyokie will be happy with his win this week but will have to face the triple option of Air Force who just pummeled the Buffalo of Colorado
- Fresno lost at home on the last play to the Beavers. They don't have it any easier this week going to visit the Trojans of USC.
- Utah St also loses to a FCS Weber State team bad. Not sure what's going on over there. The rest up this week before going to Vegas in 2
- UNLV kept it close at Cal and face North Texas this week
- Also a surprise score, SJSU gave Auburn all it could handle. Not a good sign for former Boise coach Harsin, who was brought in to win

Welcome home guys, rest up. practice up and be ready for the Dukes this week. As the results from last week show, you can't take any team for granted.
Go Warriors! Go Na Wahine!

Re: 2022 UH Opponent's Schedules of Schedules, Week 3 - Win!!!!

Post by chawan_cut »

ok, so it wasn't pretty. we still don't have a passing TD in 4 games, which is crazy. our D stepped up, and so did our ST's, except running into the kicker too many times. so maybe the offense will find itself this week in lovely Las Cruces, where the Aggies are favored. crazy!

ok here's how everyone did.
- Vandy pre-season is over. They will get a wake up SEC call with Bama this week.
- The Hilltoppers came back to earth losing to the Hoosiers of Indiana. They get FIU this week in conference as well.
- Michigan's cupcakes also end and get Taulia and Maryland this week. Two undefeated teams. one will have to fall.
- Duquesne will have a break this week to get over the hawaii blues before they get Stonehill next week
- NMSU got roughed up by Wisconsin. Let's hope they are still recovering when we come into town Sat
- SDSU also gets beat up by Utah. They have the Rockets of Toledo this week to tune up for MWC play next week
- Nevada also with a new coach and system struggle again against Iowa. They will get triple option Air Force this week who is looking to bounce back from that amazing upset by Whyoming
- CSU also has new everything and it shows. They should be able to get the Hornets of Sac State this week
- Wyoming rushed the field in dozens as they pull off the upset vs the Falcons. Wow. Not much to say about that. BYU will be angry after losing to Oregon. Good luck wyokie
- Fresno also got paid by USC but go down to their Cali big boys. They have UConn in two weeks. It seems everyone is playing the Huskies this year.
- Utah St had a week to find itself after losing to Div 1AA Weber St. They go to suddenly hot UNLV who just beat the North Texas Bulls
- And SJSU had a week off and shouldn't have a problem with W. Michigan this week.

Go Bows!

Re: 2022 UH Opponent's Schedules of Schedules, Week 4 - Loss at NMSU

Post by chawan_cut »

man, not good. we made NMSU look like a top 25 team with their rushing stats. but hey, we scored a passing TD! now only if we can put a full game together! well this week is a bye, and hope all our answers our found this week before we go to SDSU in 2.

here's how everyone else did (not very well...)

- Vandy got their SEC wakeup call getting trounced by Bama. They have a week to recover before hosting Mississippi
- W. Kentucky took it out on poor FIU this week, blowing them out and shutting them out. They have Troy this week.
- Michigan finally plays a worthy opponent in Taulia's Maryland Terps and stays undefeated. They go to Iowa this week for their first road game
- Duquesne had the week off and go to Stonehill this week
- SDSU pulled out a squeaker against Toledo and head to Boise this week for their cross conference trip. Boise amazingly lost to UTEP at El Paso. I think the blue field is really blue and out this year.
- Nevada got Air Force's wrath this week and have a bye to get ready for also struggling CSU.
- CSU lost to DIv 1-AA Sacramento St. Man if we thought we had it bad. The game vs the Rams might be for the bottom of the MWC
- Wyoming comes back down to earth as the Cougars take care of them easily. They host Chevan and SJSU this week.
- Fresno had a bye but flies all the way to the East Coast to play at UConn for some reason.
- USU goes down to UNLV but puts up their most points of the season. They get big big in state brother BYU. Might not be pretty.
- UNLV gets lowly New Mexico this week and should easily increase their win total.
- SJSU took care of W. Michigan and go to visit wyokie's Cowboys in altitude this week. Maybe Chevan remembers last year's performance there in Laramie and can repeat it.

Biggest upset again was hearing that Boise lost to UTEP. I don't think that has ever happened. Their fans must be in emergency alert mode and the world is ending. Welcome to out world.
Rest up guys. Go get em in 2 weeks!

Re: 2022 UH Opponent's Schedules of Schedules, Week 5 - Bye week

Post by chawan_cut »

bye week done. ready to head to SDSU. Hope our guys are ready. they just lost to Boise, who is not having a good year either. SDSU lost 2 QBs in the loss and just fired their OC. Hope we can take advantage of that.

Other games
- Vandy gets Mississippi this week after a bye. but then get Georgia in 2.
- W Kentucky came back to earth losing to Troy. They head to San Antonio Texas this week
- Michigan stays undefeated as they beat Iowa at Iowa. They head to Indiana who just lost to Nebraska
- Duquesne lost another to Stonehill. they get Merrimack
- NMSU also gets humbled, losing to Florida Intl (who lost to W. Kentucky bad last week). They have a bye this week before in state rival Lobos come into town
- Nevada had a bye as did CSU, lets see who got better better.
- Wyoming lost to Chevan as he remembered how to play in that thin air last year. They get lowly New Mexico and should get that one
- Fresno goes down to UConn in a shocker as another MWC foe loses to a lower division team. Things aren't gonna get better this week with Boise coming in. Even with their starter transferred, they still took care of SDSU and lead the Mountain.
- Utah St loses to big brother BYU and gets triple option Air Force this week.
- UNLV keeps piling up the wins against bad teams, but is first in the West. They get Chevan this week.

Go get em Bows this week! Best chance is now.
(I'll be posting again in 2 weeks, after our next home game).

Re: 2022 UH Opponent's Schedules of Schedules, Week 7- Win vs Nevada!!!

Post by chawan_cut »

ok, sorry, i'm back. i was away from a pc for 2 weeks and couldn't update. but i made it home to watch the guys get their first win vs a D1 opponent. we played all 3 phases of the game well finally and came out on top. just need to muscle memory this and take the same momentum onto the road to Colorado St this week.
here's how everyone did this past weekend

- Vandy is getting their SEC wake up call as they lose their 3rd in a row, this time getting demolished by #1 Georgia. They don't have it any easier this week with Missouri, who almost beat Georgia the other week.
- W. Kentucky got back on the winning side of things beating Mid Tenn St this week and go to the UAB Dragons this week.
- Michigan remains undefeated as they easily handle Indiana. They host Penn St this wee
- Duquesne had a bye to prepare for Cent. Conn St this week
- NMSU was the better of the in state teams as they beat the Lobos. The host Chevan and SJSU this week
- SDSU had a bye to prepare for Nevada,
- CSU loses to USU and hope they aren't ready for us this week
- Wyoming had a bye and will get the Aggies this week
- Fresno takes down Chevan and will get the Lobos
- UNLV gets walopped by Air Force and for some reason plays at Notre Dame this week

Go get em Bows!

You goofed again. You listed the score of the Wyoming New Mexico game wrong. It's supposed to be 27-14, not 14-27.

We DID beat the Hobos. Only after we were down 14-0 first.

We have a jackass for a coach. Sadly thinks we're still in the 1960s and not the 2020s.

Go Bows
SJSU's game against New Mexico State got postponed because SJSU's player getting accidently killed. From what I've read, the makeup date for the game is not known. My guess it'll be played the same week as all the conference championship games are played UNLESS San Jose State ends up in the MW Championship game. If that happens, they'll postpone the game to another season that's available for both schools.

One week we'll finally play a full game. D came up big, but played too long on the field due to waaay too many wasted possessions. i guess wyokie can gloat for 3 years until we play them again.

Re: 2022 UH Opponent's Schedules of Schedules, Week 12 - Win and Pineapple Trophy over UNLV!

Post by chawan_cut »

Finally a win on senior night! Not pretty. And we tried to give it away at the end. but the Defense held strong and Parsons had that key long TD run to seal it. Anyone else hate onside kicks? Props to #7 for recovering both, including that crazy shot straight at him.
Last game vs Cordeiro next week. Hope we can pull off the upset!
