I'm assuming Aiea is renovating their home field, they are playing all of their home games at Radford. Maybe that's why the game isn't televised? Aiea has hosted televised games on their field before.

The Pearl City-Kaiser game on Friday should be a fun one. Both teams can score and have players who can make plays in open space.
I hope it’s streaming somehow. It’s also likely the first of multiple meetings between Aiea and Waipahu. I think a lot of people were sleeping on Waipahu because of their lopsided loss to Campbell, but the fact is, Campbell is among the elite this year. Waipahu did as well against Campbell as Iolani would do against St. Louis or us.

I was surprised by Kam II defeating Pac-5 52-7. Jam's varsity team is really struggling this year. But their second team just blew out Pac-5. Maybe this is a good sign for the future, if their underclassmen are good.

Aiea's QB is out with an injury. Because of that and the way Waipahu has played, gotta go with them.

I gotta give St. Louis's coaching staff credit for finding holes in our defense

Punahou 21, St. Louis 12 just before halftime

We scored on a 51-yard fumble return. Graham had been playing so well before that turnover.

Another St. Louis turnover with about 25 seconds remaining in the half

I can't imagine us failing to score before halftime.

I was right--Punahou 29, St. Louis 12 with 23 seconds remaining in the half

Two touchdowns within 15 seconds.

The two very bugaboos that hurt St. Louis last year--penalties are turnovers--are chomping them tonight.

Punahou 29, St. Louis 12 halftime

This game reminds me of Super Bowl 27, when the Cowboys turned a seemingly 14-10 halftime lead into 28-10 (scoring 2 touchdowns just before the half). The Cowboys wound up winning the whole game, 52-17. Don't resemble the Falcons in Super Bowl 51, Punahou.

This game also reminds me of a game that ended a 20-game losing streak of ours to St. Louis 17 years ago. That game also included a fumble recovery of more than 40 yards. It also led to us breaking another streak--St. Louis's 19-year streak of ILH titles.
