Maryland transfer portal CB Devyn King via Serra HS '20 (Gardena, CA.). Was a early enrollee at Maryland from January 2020 (as a early '20 HS graduate). Should still be a RS frosh with 4 to play 4.

Good to see that Coach Abe's close relationship with long-time HC Scott Altenberg of perennial CIF-SS power Serra HS (Gardena, CA.) is paying dividends.

Awesome portal grab - DB from a powerhouse HS, he had SEC and Pac 12 offers (high pedigree) and has plenty of eligibility left.

Great cover skills shown against SBs who are the hardest to cover bc most are very shifty.

Abe needs to get more love bc his recruiting wins have been consistently good.

Other than during the TG era, it's definitely not for lack of recruiting effort and persistence on Coach Abe's part....so hopefully UH can land more Serra HS Cavalier alums in the next 2023 and future recruiting classes....since Serra HS (which is located less than 20 miles from both USC and UCLA) always seems to be consistently loaded with P5 and G5 talent.

I think he'll be a starter. The coaches are high on him. He just needs to get up to speed with the schemes and techniques.
