I don't mind that he's an undersized DB at 5-9, 175. He looks to be very good in man coverage and reacts well in zone coverage. He's strong, check out the video of his 315 lb bench press and 500 lb squat. He's part of a loaded Bishop Gorman secondary which may explain why he's a S/NB there. It will be interesting where he'll play when he gets here.

He has great ball skills - reads his keys quickly, excelerates well and attacks the ball. 5"9 is tiny for CB , especially in this era of 6'2 + WRs.uhwarriors wrote: ↑Sat Jun 25, 2022 11:54 pm I don't mind that he's an undersized DB at 5-9, 175. He'll likely get time on special teams first and NB or FS might be best since he's good at covering slot times. 315 and 500 are eye popping for a 175 lb guy, who will havec5 yrs to get stronger.
I'm happy the pipeline to BG was reopened by coach Brown. Winning teams, high caliber teams produce quality recruits who know what is takes to win and are ahead of others coming into college bc the level of competition at practice.
Be humble and confident in yourself and all things you do.

Uhmm...I've never benched 315 lbs. Is he 5'9"? Perhaps we've got another mighty mouse...like what's his name. Oh, his son is trying out for QB. With the transfer portal comes many opportunities to scrap up the scrappers. Wanna try out at slot?

I assume you're talking about UH legend Chad Owens?
UH has a greater need at DB vs SB. Plus, like they say a good DB would be a WR if he could catch.

“First off, having the opportunity to play for the Warriors was big for me, but being able to actually commit and call Hawaii home feels great,” Palmer told 247Sports.
The three-star Palmer felt the sense of community when around the Rainbow Warriors on his visit – convincing him that UH was the place for him.
“The main thing that sold me was the community and how close and how everyone treats people out here,” Palmer said. “Schematically I feel I fit in just right. The location is a big part as well because not only is it beautiful but the culture and people that take care of the island is something I’d love to be a part of.”
The 5-foot-9, 175-pound Palmer additionally developed a strong bond with new head coach and Hawaii legend Timmy Chang.
“Yes, while I was out here, I was able to develop a great relationship with Coach Chang. He is a down to earth coach and he cares about everyone,” Palmer said. “He is someone I look forward to playing under, especially the way he plans on changing this program.”
He’s also heading to a place that has Ex-Gorman defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Chris Brown joining the Hawaii staff, further fueling his excitement.
“It’s exciting for me to have my brothers here with me and Coach Chris Brown also coming from Gorman and coaching here is a big deal,” Palmer said. “We are coming in to be a part of the change and be a part of the BRADDAHHOOD!”

I wish my car had that kind of power to weight ratio.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

Agree. He looks to be solid coming from a real good program.uhwarriors wrote: ↑Sat Jun 25, 2022 11:54 pm I don't mind that he's an undersized DB at 5-9, 175.
