In my lifetime, I've seen a 10-lane highway and a rusting stadium built, just because, in Hawaii. People have always been parking in Manoa to travel to Halawa, just because. A stadium in Manoa makes sense. There has always been lots of parking on a Saturday nearby. We used to park and ride when the planned-to-rust stadium was built.

A rail system has been in discussion for more than 50 years. The rail needs to happen but I doubt it. The stadium at Manoa needs to happen. A stadium at Halawa never made sense.

the chosen contractor needs to know the two main priorities are build a quality stadium quick and no bench seats.

Building something quick will never happen unless it is structured in the contract and we are willing to pay for it.

This stadium will not be built quick because the developers will likely have a contract that yield them more money by taking longer and doing it wrong —- that is how we roll

And where the hell did that $400 million come from? No housing affordability and $6 a gallon gas … what a disaster

Happy that Ige signed the bill and that the legislature provided $400 million. Pessimistic that No-Aloha will come down and new stadium up and running before their projected time frame.

“Supply chain issues” seems to be the operative phrase. Maybe because it is real.

Apparently the EIS is already done, just needs the governors signature. At least thats what I read from Reardon or Tsai.

IDK about reading speed, but decision making speed is slower than an African snail.
