My bad. I'm thinking that Donna Mercado Kim is in the Honolulu City Council. I should've fact check myself. All I can say is, "they're eating the cats, they're eating the dogs in Kalihi."EITSwarrior wrote: Thu Oct 10, 2024 11:36 amWell that lawsuit is a CC of Honolulu issue so that's part of their job. UH sports as part of the UH system which is a state entity falls under the State of Hawaii government. So supporting UH sports is really a Hawaii State Legislature issue, not really a Honolulu City Council one.Walkoff Balk wrote: Wed Oct 09, 2024 5:42 pm The Honolulu City Council would rather payoff a lawsuit to the family of a person committing a crime than support UH sports.

Well it's about time to get moving.
Cats don't have owners. Cats have servants.

Is that what the stadium will look like?
I just hope the seating is better then Ching Field, those benches are back breaking.
Re: New Aloha Stadium & TC Ching Expansion
I believe what you see here is just concept. They mentioned that the awarded company may have a preliminary design hopefully by December sometime for the public to see.ulua wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2024 1:17 pmAbout time!kapakahi wrote: Thu Oct 31, 2024 6:59 pm https://spectrumlocalnews.com/hi/hawaii ... =app_share

I’ll believe it when I see it happening. Old stadium still standing.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

Is there a sun in your eyes problem when UH plays afternoon games at the TC Ching Stadium?

Re: New Aloha Stadium & TC Ching Expansion
Just wondering, how come the endzone section looks big with more seating vs the two sides. Ok, maybe it's the same in total, but I figure more people want to sit on the sidelines, either sides, vs the endzone. I get it, endzone give you a different experience for those who want it. But most would prefer to watch the game with teams going left and right. Press box is on one side. The other side is the jumbotron. Shouldn't the sides be higher, more seats? The opportunity for $$$ are on the side seating, not the endzone seating.
PS. Blue seats? I can understand not black or not white, but UH green not on the list? Or even OG Aloha Stadium seating colors. Orange, blue, red, and yellow. So some season ticket holder can say "My family always had the Orange section (Section R Row 3) 18-24....Must have at all cost."

It's just concept art of the stadium and the surrounding district by Crawford Architects. Always has been a concept. Final design plans are up to the developer and apparently scheduled to be revealed in December. We will see. I'm betting in January or February.cabanalane wrote: Mon Nov 11, 2024 12:04 pmJust wondering, how come the endzone section looks big with more seating vs the two sides.
