What a game. Somehow these guys just find a way to win. Saturday game will be huge. Nice to see a lot of Hawaii fans there. They are everywhere.

Between the two semi-final matches, there were a lot more camera shots of the fans in the stands for the UH-PSU match. There was this annoying PSU fan who screamed every time PSU scored a point or UH was at the service line. But, she was drowned out by the rhythm clapping of the UH bench and fans.

There's an unwritten rule when playing marbles small kid time. You can't say "Kahuna" when the player is about to shoot.

For those living near the Peninsula in Northern California, they are having a watch party at 2pm for the UCLA/UH matchup. It is at the Dutch Goose in Menlo Park. Go Bows!

There will probably be less views on the YouTube upload of the UH-UCLA championship match because UCLA won. The Hawaii Volleyball Fan didn't upload this game on YouTube. The highlights of this UH-UCLA match might get more views than the actual uploaded whole game. I won't watch the replay. It's too painful. I didn't even watch the UH Wahine lost to LSU replay in last year's volleyball NCAA tournament on YouTube.
Long Beach St. didn't give UH a favor by losing to UCLA in three non-competitive sets in the sem-finals. UCLA also played in the earlier match on Thursday. I don't know if it made a difference. But, UH and UCLA were so close as competitors.

Sad but classy story about how Hawaii MVB can pick up people's spirit in light of tragedies that occur. They are champions regardless of the outcome of the final game. :D

I watched the UH vs. BYU reverse sweep of the 2020 match on YouTube. I think this was the last UH sporting event before the pandemic shut down the season. It was the breakout match for Thelle as a starting setter and freshman Chaz Galloway playing for an injured Colten Cowell. Waiting in the wings on the bench were freshmen who would be the foundation for the next few years. Voss would split time with Rosenfeld in the middle. Sheward would challenge Thelle for the setter position. Dimi and Hogland were there watching and learning till it would be their chance to shine.
