Liberty is still looking for their first win this this year. They have been playing teams Outside of Nevada and getting crushed like last week. They were beaten 45-8 by A Texas team last week. In terms of talent ,Liberty has three players who are D-I recruits and Kamehameha has one . Based on my experience, that’s not enough of an indication that Liberty is a lot much better than Kamehameha is. However Kamehameha needs to find offensive success comparable to last year to win.
Maxpreps says they’ve already won one game (their opener).
As for the Mater Dei-Mililani game, still scoreless as the 1st quarter is nearing its end. Mililani hanging in there.
Punahou Football: 12-1, 2008 ILH and State Champions! 11-0, 2013 ILH and State Champions, a team for the ages!
Mililani-Mater Dei scoreless after one quarter. The first quarter has gone much better for Mililani than their first quarter against Mission Viejo, which happened at Mililani.

Is Mater Dei’s offense simply underperforming, or is Mililani’s defense showing them something they haven’t seen all year and creating and capitalizing on MD mistakes?

Liberty won 25-18, after Kamehameha made it close in the 4th quarter. For several years, Liberty was a top program in Nevada, often only second to Bishop Gorman. I wonder what happened this year, even though they won today, they don't seem to be the powerhouse they used to be.
Whereas Mililani had significant disadvantages in size and depth on both OL and DL compared to Mater Dei (which resulted in -33 yards net rushing yards for Mililani compared to 338 yards net rushing for Mater Dei), Kahuku's disadvantages in size and depth on both OL and DL compared to SJB appear to be less pronounced so hopefully are less impactful.

I think they’ve got a less than glamorous record because they’ve played a top-heavy schedule. The very thing that’s made St. Louis’s record look less-than-glamorous.

It might make you happy or surprised that Damien is leading Iolani 12-10 in the 4th quarter with around 6 minutes left. I would consider this an upset if they hold on.
