2022 Walk-on Tryouts

Pretty curious on why walk-on tryouts are going to be held 4 days before the first game. Lots of walk-ons that made the spring roster are not on the current roster. If we're short on players due to injuries, etc., I wonder why we don't bring those guys back. At least they had spring practice under their belts.

Maybe the Spring Ball walk-ons who weren't invited back for Fall Camp might have moved on from their dream to play for UH.....while UH may still need some warm bodies for the Scout Team.

Likely a combination of kids moving on and need for more bodies. DL body types are needed for sure. In season the roster can balloon to 120+, so there's 10 more seats available.

I guess this "last batch" of Walk-On players are perhaps more serious as they already took the SAT, already enrolled, already signed up for classes, already got their books. And already paid $$$. The reality of college life sets in.

Now just add football.
