UH didn’t make his Top 10….which still includes 3 MWC schools (Boise State, Colorado State & Nevada).

Four-Star safety Kodi Decambra will select from his final six schools on Monday and one of those finalists is the University of Hawai’i. UH was the last school to make an impression on Decambra when he officially visited a week ago.
Decambra’s other finalists include five Pac-12 schools: Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Arizona and Colorado. 247Sports’ crystal ball feature has the Ducks favored to be the pick when Decambra announces his decision on CBS Sports HQ at 9 a.m. HT on Monday. UH hopes they were able to sway him with his official visit, however.
“Having an offer from the home state really meant a lot,” Decambra said. “That was a definite reason to put them in there. They are definitely up there in the top since I know what their plan is, how they want to start recruiting, and how they coach.”

The former BYU commit will embark on a weekend official visit next Friday to Hawaii as the Rainbow Warriors continue to make a strong push for the Aloha State native who is now a standout at Provo (Utah) Timpview.
The 6-foot, 200-pound prospect discussed what has been standing out about Hawaii and the new staff members that have build buzz in Honolulu and beyond.
"I've been a blessing to get a scholarship from my home state school," Anahu-Ambrosio said. "I'd have a chance to play my college football much closer to family and then my parents would be able to see me play in person more often. I just love it there and I am being recruited by coach Jared Ursua. I have a lot of connections on that staff. I feel like it's going to be a big change with coach Timmy Chang. I feel like with how he is running it, everything is under control and it's going to be a big-time program. They have offered me as an athlete and that's an opportunity to potentially play both ways, which would be big for me."

“UH is going good with me and coach Jared Ursua,” Kekahuna said. “I went to their spring ball and he was trying to make me commit on the spot. I’ve got to keep my options open, but I like the love and support that he gives to me and my family.
“I feel like the bond, they call the Braddahhood, I feel that has changed from the last year from the other coach … (The coaches) are real local and some graduated from here at St. Louis. If I were to go there they would show some love because I'm a St. Louis guy.”

Probably just a courtesy to list UH among his top 13 options....but it wouldn't be a surprise if he takes another unofficial visit to UH (since he is friends with Penei Pavihi, Steven Fiso, and Blessman & Maurice Ta'ala).

One of the top 2023 football prospects has made the University of Hawaii the first stop on what is expected to be a lengthy recruiting process.
On Tuesday, Francis Mauigoa came away impressed from an unofficial UH visit, during which he and his mother Telesia met the coaches and academic counselors, went through a presentation, and toured the campus.
“I enjoyed it a lot,” said Mauigoa, a 6-foot-6, 325-pound offensive tackle. “The presentation they had, I really liked it. It was more than I expected. They really stood out to me. The O-line coach had this thing that stood out to me: the mentality and how to dominate (opponents) with strength mentality.”
Telesia said: “What a great experience. The coaches were very informative, very kind. They gave us the best information we asked for about UH and the program, and what makes a champ a champ. It was a great experience.”
Mauigoa was born and reared in American Samoa. As a freshman, he moved to San Bernardino, Calif., to attend Aquinas Catholic High School. But as the pandemic heightened, he returned to American Samoa. This year, he enrolled at IMG Academy, a school in Bradenton, Fla., whose football team competes nationally. IMG is the 2020 national champion.
The 247Sports site reported Mauigoa already has received 21 offers. Mauigoa said UH is “most definitely” a consideration. Penei Pavihi, Steven Fiso, Blessman Ta‘ala and Maurice Ta‘ala are among the Warriors whom Mauigoa considers as close friends.
