Sounds like what he did to the Hawaii players :(
From ESPN. Fahling is Rolo's lawyer
Reached Wednesday morning by ESPN, Fahling declined to elaborate on the accusations beyond the statement, which states that Rolovich, after being fired, was escorted to his car by university police and was not allowed to address the team.
When Rolo took the WSU job, he wasn't able to speak directly to the Hawaii team. He was interviewed in Las Vegas and when he accepted, they immediately flew him and his wife to Pullman for a press conference. Rolo did communicate with the team through a messaging app that the UH athletic department uses.

You could see that coming.
Would like to see how this would play out without a settlement. Unfortunately, they will probably settle.
Did he get the exemption or not? Was it a matter of accommodation? Is he really a devout Catholic? Was he a member of a Catholic church up there? Did the fact that he did not abide by the conditions of being unvaccinated play a role in his rejection? Plenty of questions.
If he is a devout Catholic and the Pope recommends vaccination as an "act of love," one would think that he would follow his religious leader's recommendation. This would set a bad precedence in Washington with Governor Inslee and the rest of the Washington administrators for any kind of settlement. There have been a lot of policemen and firemen that have lost their jobs in Seattle because they were not vaccinated.
The problem is you are now interpreting how he should be a Catholic. What if his belief is the Pope is wrong and needs to be changed out through the Church’s political process (whatever that is). And what if he is kinda Catholic. You are going to crap on him for that? Do you really want a government agent determining the validity of ones religious beliefs or lack of religious beliefs? And, what if someone says I am the only person in my religion right now. But billions will follow me later. Do you crucify them and wash your hands clean of it?

The Religious Exemption was "DENIED" by a Blind Panel. It was not approved, so why blame Chun and Schultz?

Rolo and 4 Assistance, along with all other state employees knew all the deadlines. No extension was needed for them to have time to now get the vaccine.

Lose money: Rolo out of a job.
No Guaranteed money: Rolo sues school.
Lose Money: Kassidy Woods sues Rolo
Lose Money: Attorney fees for 2 laws suits

Will Rolo really come out ahead as many think 🤔

I so wish media would stop using pictures of Rolo at the University of Hawaii. They should have photos of him in Crimson & Gray over the past 22 months

That makes it worse. We have blind panels now telling us if we are religious enough? Holy smokes. That government is crazy over there.

Rolo is one of the best athletes, coaches, and people in the history if Hawaii sports.
yes but the stories have nothing to with Hawaii. No mentions of all. It's all about Washington St.

Understood. It is a State of Washington story and has nothing to do with our program or state. I do think Rolo has Hawaii in his blood and we may see him back again somewhere a ways down the road.

Wow Looks like WSU hired some former UH coaches from the JJ era.

JAKE DICKERT IS hiring two new veteran assistants from outside the Washington State program, a source with knowledge tells Cougfan.com, to shore up the offensive side of the ball -- former Hawaii and SMU quarterbacks coach Dan Morrison, and former SMU and Hawaii offensive line coach Dennis McKnight. The news was first reported by The Athletic's Bruce Feldman.

Rolo was removed during a winning streak. Extremely rare in college football. He gets some credit if they finish strong.

Po ho...Rolo gave up a Pac-12 coaching, dream-job for religious reasons? If religious exemptions for vaccines were allowed, no-one in America would be allowed to go to school. We have been required to be vaccinated for a long, long time. Gov. John Burn's wife was a polio victim. Vaccines stopped this malady here.

I'm sorry if this post is deemed political. However, my 'friends' seem unopposed in their political discussion. And then again, perhaps this was just an excuse to get rid of an ineffective coach. I don't know, guys. Was Rolo the be-all, end-all of coaches?

No need to be sorry. You are entitled to your opinion just like me. And no one gives a crap what our opinions are. LOL

Rolo is a beast. Only neo-lib culture jumps onto these whiney bandwagons where people try to tell others that they are bad for their beliefs. That’s not the liberalism I grew up with. Rolo has banked a ton of money. Great coach. Great QB. Dude is a rockstar. Who gives a F about this BS in Washington state. Let Rolo be Rolo. He is a local hero. And us, we are just legends in our on minds.

Riddle me this, defacto SH political spammer: which McMackin coordinator is actually the head coach of a top-25 team? Which of the former Hawaii coaches actually won a National Championship? (McMackin and Aranda) In my opinion, Rolo is done. He is nothing like Sarkisian or Kiffin. He won't get a second chance. Who in this time and age would question modern scientific methodology? These aren't medieval times.

Rolo is tight with JJ and friends with a lot of coaches because he is an overall cool guy. Rolo will definitely be coaching again. Any team down in the bottom 25 percentile with 2-3 wins would be stupid to overlook him. Unless they are in one of those crazy azz states that hates on people for thinking different.
