Geez, what's a 25yo doing in college? Hope it's to get a degree. If it's 3 games, then their chances of going far in any tournament is slim although Memphis looks like a team that could upset anybody.Irse wrote: ↑Mon Feb 14, 2022 3:54 amThat's 3 games in a row he's gotten a technical. You would think a 25 year old would eventually learn how to shut up.shrek2 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 1:35 pm Just watching the Houston game, I would have called a technical on Williams in the first half when he started jawing with the referee after his offensive foul. He's gotta realize that its not the NBA and Hardaway should have talked to him but his mentality is NBA not college. Williams finally got the T in the second half.

Yes, they had a nice run in the NIT but that's a tourney, not the tourney.shrek2 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 8:08 amLooks like Memphis took the NIT last year.

At one time, the NIT was a much bigger deal than the NCAAs.Irse wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 2:48 amYes, they had a nice run in the NIT but that's a tourney, not the tourney.shrek2 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 8:08 amLooks like Memphis took the NIT last year.

Yep....and the event that changed things...In 1943 a benefit game for WWII was organized to where the 1943 NIT Champs, St. John's, played the 1943 NCAA Champs, WYOMING. Guess who won that game?

In the dance. Will go deep if Williams is in control and they play their chaos defense.

Finally, they get in the dance and get a win against the donkeys. Next up is the overall no. 1 seed. Well, it was a nice short run.

Re: Memphis Tigers basketball thread
Hope we can pull it off but very unlikely.
On a side note, how does the MWC get 4 in the tourney and the AAC get only 2? Well the MWC is now 0-4 in the NCAA and 0-1 in the NIT while the AAC is 1-0 so far in the NCAA and 1-0 in the NIT.
