Jahlani got let go by the Lions, is this a surprise move? I ask cause I haven't had a chance to watch a lot NFL as I work on Sunday's

Nah, I've been reading quite abit about displeasure with Tavai for some time now. He bulked up at one point (coaches request) which slowed him down. He was just signed to the Pats practice squad.

he just reunited with his old HC, Patricia and is now on the Practice Squad for the PATS. I hope he proves the detroit fans wrong, because they were dogging on him after his promising rookie season. He needs to find his confidence, although he was always smiling, I bet all the negativity was affecting him.

Yeah Tavai was a Patricia pick. Figure the new coaching staff would put every player on notice.

Detroit beat writers have been pretty down on Tavai for some time. The word out there is that he's too slow and lacks awareness to play his position and is a major liability on the field. Hopefully he can fit in better with the system he was drafted to play in, originally. I think he already made something like $6 Million so he'll be fine, but I think he'll have played enough to draw a pension if he can land on an active roster this season.
