Re: 2018 UH Schedule of Opponent's schedules... Week 01 Win vs Navy! 2-01!

#16 Post by chawan_cut » Mon Sep 03, 2018 4:09 pm

oh man, 59 points!!!!!
it was scary again in the 2nd half for a little bit, but the pedal was still on the metal and each punch Navy threw we counterpunched right back.
long TDs, short TDs, a running back TD, a one handed catch TD... 1 penalty for 5 yards. ONE!
next up Rice, who just lost at home to Houston. It doesn't seem like they run the option any more so we'll see how we go back to a normal offense.
here's how everyone else did

- CSU loses to it's rival Colorado as the Buffalo pass all over them as well. They'll have a rough few games next as they host Arkansas and then go to the Swamp in Florida
- Navy get's a home game against Memphis to hopefully right itself
- Rice loses to Houston giving up 21 straight points after having the lead 27-24.
- Army loses at Duke. Two lost fumbles didn't help. They also threw more than normal, so we'll see if that's more of a feature of their offense this year.
- Duquesne bounces back and shuts out Lock Haven in its home debut. they host Valpo this week to try to get win #2
- San Jose loses to D-IAA UC Davis. The Aggies threw all over the Spartans. Not good this week as they head to Wazzu.
- Wyoming hosted Wazzu this week and got a little beat up. their starting QB went out with a rib injury and their offense only had 206 total yards. they also had 13 penalties for 109 yards. they head to Mizzou this week.
- BYU bullies Arizona for the win getting 3 rushing TDs. They get another PAC-12 foe this week, Cal. We'll see if their fortunes have changed since last year
- Nevada wipes out Portland St. They scored every which way possible. They head down south this week to Vandy for a SEC matchup
- Fresno takes out former WAC opponent Idaho. Luckily they didn't have to play in that barn at Moscow. They look like they are continuing on last year's dominance. They get the Golden Gophers of Minnesota this week.
- Utah St loses a heart breaker at East Lansing. They played the Spartans tough but could not pull it out. They should have an easy time with NMSU this week
- UNLV gets the unfortunate opening game for USC and lose big. They host UTEP this week in another old WAC matchup.
- SDSU loses its opener at Stanford pretty bad but get DIV-1AA Sac State this week to recover

- OTher games of note.
- Tua gets the start for Bama as they easily get the win over Louisville
- Ohio state takes out Oregon St no problem without Urban
- Incarnate Word is a football team? They lose to New Mexico
- Boise hopes to get to that big bowl at the end of the season and it started with Troy.
- Michigan gets back to playing Notre Dame again but it's not what they expected.
- Appalachian State almost pulls another big upset against Penn St in Happy Valley but fall short

Ok, 27,000 fans at the first home game. Great crowd! It'll only get bigger with wins and the excitement growing. The buzz was alive in the stadium. People couldn't believe what we were seeing.
See you guys this Saturday!!

Oh....Chawan….Chawan….Chawan….
You STILL have a mistake on the Duquesne schedule. You still have Hawaii listed as a conference game for the Dukes, the * next to Hawaii. You need to take that out!
i'm glad i give you something to do during the day out there in the midwest....
It was SUPER obvious! Even a Fort Fart grad coulda seen it!!!!

Re: 2018 UH Schedule of Opponent's schedules... Week 02 - Rice got cooked!!!

#18 Post by chawan_cut » Sun Sep 09, 2018 10:46 pm

wooooo! 3-0. rice gave us a fight. and we punched back! not a perfect game for either offense or defense but they both learned to fight thru it. key fumble and recovery. big 4th and goal stop only to safety right after. nothing is going to be easy even tho we as fans want us to blow everyone out and shut them out at the same time. we got a W and as long as we learn from it and get ready for the next game, i'm good.

here's how everyone else did
- CSU came from behind to beat the visiting Arkansas Razorbacks. this should help our power ranking. they now go to the SE to take on SEC foe Florida, who is struggling big time this year. They just lost to Kentucky for the first time in 30 something games
- Navy got an amazing run by Perry as they come back to beat Memphis. They get Lehigh this week
- Rice has a bye this week and head to SMU in 2.
- Army rolls up 300+ yards rushing against Liberty. Hope our D still remembers last week and our offense is back rolling next week
- Duquesne takes down Valpo at home and have the Flyers of Dayton this week
- SJSU goes to Pullman and gets shut out 31-0. it doesn't get easier this week as they go to Eugene for the Ducks
- Wyoming gets paid but gets the L at Mizzou. They get Wofford? this week.
- BYU loses to Cal after beating Arizona last week, however Houston just beat up on Arizona this week, so maybe the Wildcats aren't as good? Or is Houston good and so is Rice cause Rice put up some numbers against the other UH?
- Nevada doesn't find the south so friendly as they go down hard at Vandy. They get the Beavers this week.
- Fresno puts up a fight at Minnesota but a nice INT by the Gophers halts their rally. They go to struggling big brother UCLA this week.
- USU beats up on former WAC foe NMSU. they host Tenn Tech this week which shouldn't be a problem for them
- UNLV also roughs up former WAC opponent UTEP. they get Prairie View A&M this week
- And SDSU trailed early to Sac State before coming out with the Win. They go to Arizona State this week who are fresh off upsetting the evil Spartans of Michigan St.

Ok guys good luck with the travel this week to Army. Go get em!

Re: 2018 UH Schedule of Opponent's schedules... Week 03 - Loss at Army

#19 Post by chawan_cut » Sun Sep 16, 2018 10:11 am

man, can't be perfect. their best D was their O. sure our offense was off at the beginning but we couldn't get their option offense off the field enough to give us more time.
Luckily no more triple option teams the rest of the year. we got Duquense coming in this week. We can't take them lightly but we need to get things back in order.

here's how everyone else did this week.
- CSU goes to the swamp and loses to Florida giving them the Gators their first win. They go home to host Illinois State this week
- Navy keeps the train moving scoring 51 against Lehigh. They head to SMU to face the Mustangs this Sat
- Rice had a bye but they go to Southern Miss this week.
- Army goes to Oklahoma this week to face a #5 team
- Duquense has won 3 in a row heading into this week's game
- San Jose puts up a fight but loses at Oregon. They have a bye this week to prep for us
- Wyoming barely beats Wofford. at home. They have a bye to figure out how to beat Boise in 2 weeks.
- BYU pulls the biggest upset of the season so far going to Wisconsin and beating the Badgers at their place. They shouldn't have a problem with McNeese St this week
- Nevada holds on to win vs Oregon St and go to Toledo Sat
- Fresno wipes out struggling Chip Kelly and UCLA. They have a bye before also playing Toledo in 2.
- Utah St has no problem with Tenn Tech. They host the Falcons
- UNLV has its way with Prairie View and should be good with Arkansas St
- San Diego St also pulls a big upset beating the Sun Devils. They host Eastern Michigan

- Good luck to our guys this week. Bounce back!

quick write up!
yay we won! we're not perfect as you can see.
good luck in san jose!

wow, Utah st looks to be good.
And Army gave Oklahoma a hard time. That's good on us!
Altho CSU losing to Illinois State? Maybe they're all beat up
BYU beats up on McNeese St but gets a true test at UW this week.
And Nevada losing to Toledo? Fresno gets them then Nevada the week after. Watch one film get two scouting reports!

Re: 2018 UH Schedule of Opponent's schedules... Week 05 - Five OT win at SJSU!

#21 Post by chawan_cut » Sun Sep 30, 2018 10:45 am

Week 5, as in FIVE OT WIN!
I couldn't watch it but I heard it was a stress filled extra play. I'll watch the replay later today.
Seems like our Offense was off in the beginning and San Jose had their best game of the year. It wasn't pretty and it hasn't been, but we got the W this time.
Wyoming is coming in after a blowout loss to evil Boise. They make the trip to sea level without their all star Josh Allen who is struggling with the Bills. Hope we can get that Paniolo trophy back this week and make wyokie cry for it back.

This week was full of byes for some reason.
- Rice struggles at Wake Forest, but should be ok with Texas San Antonio this week
- Army gets back on the win track by blowing out Buffalo.
- BYU goes down hard at UW and have in state rival Utah State this week before we go there in 2.
- Nevada goes up the high air and wins at Air Force. They should have a battle with Fresno this week.

Ok, pack the stadium this week! They need it. 5 and 1 baby!
Go Warriors! Go Na Wahine!

I won't cry...I'll just do a male version of bitching.

As for Josh Allen, Buffalo's problem is a crappy OL. In other words, he should be used to it.

Re: 2018 UH Schedule of Opponent's schedules... Week 06 - Win vs Wyokie, I mean Wyoming!!!

#23 Post by chawan_cut » Wed Oct 10, 2018 10:44 pm

woo! backup Cordeiro came in and got us the win! D did enough to stop those cowboys, with their only td on their int.
now we head up to altitude country and Provo where we face the daunted BYU Cougars who have lost 2 in a row, including a blow out to in state rival Utah St, which they haven't lost 2 in a row to in forever.
1 more win to a bowl, 1 more win to keep our win streak going. 1 more win to get more respect.

other notables this week.
boise loses at home to SDSU
navy loses to air force, so they're out of the commander in chief trophy
san jose remains winless

the meat of our schedule remains, with 3 other teams at 4-1. we can't look past BYU tho as that'll be a challenge against their huge lines. Go Bows! Go Warriors!!

Re: 2018 UH Schedule of Opponent's schedules... Week 07 Loss to them darn Cougars

#24 Post by chawan_cut » Sun Oct 14, 2018 9:00 pm

darn. still can't kick the byu bug. good thing we're home this week. Nevada also has had our number recently.
we're still in the lead for the west but for us to stay there, we have to play the top teams in the next few weeks. hope we can get thru it. hope we can heal and recover as well.

nevada fell short at boise. darn. hope our guys can bounce back.
colorado st gets 2 in a row against high scoring new mexico. they get to go to that lovely blue turf this week.
Navy struggles and loses at Temple. They host Houston this week.
Rice is really on a downward spiral, losing it's 6th in a row. They hope to turn it around against FIU t
Army beats up on SJSU. and goes to Miami of Ohio this week.
Duquense gets a win and goes over .500.
Wyoming went to Fresno and lost, it don't get any easier this week having to play Utah St.
The Aggies blew out UNLV. No one has found out how to stop them either.
San Diego state won its 5th in a row and should have no problem for SJSU

hope the fans show up this week. our team deserves it. no UFC fight to take away the fans. One more win needed. and we are still #1 in the west.

Re: 2018 UH Schedule of Opponent's schedules... Week 08 home loss to the Wolf pack

#25 Post by chawan_cut » Sun Oct 21, 2018 9:49 pm

man, nothing went right last night. even after recovering 2 fumbled punt returns, dropped balls, over thrown balls, 2 no scores on 1st and goal possessions.... hope they can turn things around fast as Fresno is now on top of the West after beating up on New Mexico. they've won 5 in a row and peaking, while we're headed in the opposite. work hard at practice this week guys. 4 games left and a lot to accomplish!

boise doubled on the rams and host wyokie's cowboys. good luck!
Navy continues to struggle losing its 4th in a row and have to play the Irish of Notre dame this week!
Rice also is having a rough season, losing its 7th straight.
Army on the other hand is still winning, this time holding off Miami(OH). they get E. Michigan Sat
Duquense also is doing well, beating St. Francis PA.
I gotta read up on this one but San Jose barely falls at San Diego st and remains winless. SDSU however has won 6 straight The Spartans get UNLV this week and the Aztecs get Nevada
Utah St gets a one score win over Wyoming and remains on top the Mountain. They should handle New Mexico this week

Re: 2018 UH Schedule of Opponent's schedules... Week 10 - Loss to USU, 4 in a row

#26 Post by chawan_cut » Sun Nov 04, 2018 10:28 pm

sorry about last week's update. got busy and couldn't get to it. 2 weeks of updates in a row. unfortunately 2 losses, and 4 losses in a row.
things haven't been pretty. nothing seems to be going right. we do have a bye this weekend, but is it too late?
Utah St and Fresno are ranked and will probably go higher this week. Boise is on both their horizons however.
We're out of the conference race but still have the bowl to fight for. in 2 weeks UNLV comes into town and they're really struggling too, but always play us tough even we are doing well. c'mon guys, play for your pride, play for your coach, show some of that early season fire!
