they split against the previously undefeated #1 AND they beat UC Irvine in the big west tournament, then UC Irvine gets in? pretty unexplainable.

reference:
AVCA Coaches Poll 4/9 = UCI #3, Hawaii #6
RPI 4/15 = UCI #4, Hawaii #5

Updated coaches poll comes out tomorrow, not sure when/if final RPI comes out. put the current data here for reference.

For most of us, it is football .... then baseball/basketball.

But we also root for the home team in all sports.

Men’s VB got robbed..... for the second time!

=; Yeah but with all of the attorneys we have on this island (just Oahu), why isn't that UH doesn't go after the NCAA? Just saying.... :-

Add to that - Hawaii ended up at #1 re. strength of schedule: http://www.offtheblockblog.com/2018/04/ ... on-sunday/

Was the fix in with a UCLA admin giving the nod to UC system sister school UCI? It smells rotten no matter what.

You can kinda ignore their breakdown of the data because whoever did their number crunching doesn't have a strong enough understanding of math to do a proper statistic analysis, but I commend them for their journalistic legwork in getting the documents NCAA provided to committee on Selection Sunday (attachments at the bottom of the page). I'll try to do a breakdown later when I have time.
