Trump will stay in the game. He is incapable of accepting responsibility. His donor minions and hangers on will continue to fund his rising legal expenses. No doubt that he will stiff as many creditors as he can continue to. And the rest of the Republican Party is too afraid to go against him and the MAGA nuts.
Basically the 2024 election will be between a convicted felon and a guy who is slowly going senile with his dementia getting worse.
Fun times lay ahead for us Americans.
Actually, both candidates are going senile, with Biden being ahead of the game and much faster. Add in a possible third party candidate in RFK Jr and you got a guy who admits that he has a hole in his brain. Such wonderful choices we have this year.

I agree I wish we had younger, better candidates but it amazes me, as well as saddens me to see how there are some who have a hard time deciding who to vote for. of course you're not really gonna sway the voters deeply entrenched in who they have chosen, but the ones on the fence...... like really? How much more do you need to see to know how much of a threat he is to our country?

I think Biden will win in a squeaker. So glad Hawaii is a BLUE state! Hawaii, you ROCK!
Both my naive WYOMING and Oklahoma are red states....Republican states.
Regardless of which person you think is better for our country, I think all of us agree that we need term and age limits in Congress.
@wyokie: Well, actually, I don't think we really need either. If a US Rep or Senator has been in office too long, and/or is too old, I'm in favor of letting the voters remove him or her, via the ballot box. Let the voters elect someone else. If the Congressperson or Senator is too old, eventually he or she will retire, anyway. Let's not impose artificial limits; leave it up to the voters. Let the voters express themselves via the ballot box.

You can't rule out the young or the elder. Many successful companies/countries are over-seen by elders. Many successful entities are run by younger bosses. Both choices have flourished and failed because of the age of the one in charge. Solely using age as a measure is a mistake.
To wyokies point, I do think we need term limits in congress. I would also venture to say that a term limit on the Supreme Court would also be warranted given recent developments.

Term limits? If we had term limits. We would have a renovated Aloha Stadium or a new stadium by now.
Hawaii does have term limits for Governor. Ige shot the stadium budget down year after year after year throughout his two terms. Green got the ball rolling again.

@SundayJam:
I suspect that you're talking about two specific justices on the High Court. Even here, term limits might not be necessary. The US House can IMPEACH those two. I'm about 95% sure that the Democrats will re-take the US House in November. I have no doubt that Democratic leadership in that chamber will move to impeach those two justices.

After the presidential debate, the Democratic and Republican parties showed they are tanking. They want the number one pick of the next election.
Sadly, the front runners are both kinda like Ronnie Reagan in his last term. Somehow, Reagan completed his term. I guess either Trump or Biden will manage as well. Still, we must ask the question: which party has done the most for the American people? Reagan gave us Iran-Contra and the war-on-drugs. Both Bushes got us involved in unnecessary Middle East wars. Those wars cost us trillions of dollars and killed many people...the result of those wars did not help the world. Yet, the Republicans still complain about the deficit. Trump's tax cut, and his bumbling of the pandemic, sent the deficit to a historic high. Somehow, Republicans still blame the Democrats for the deficit.
Biden is the only choice. Trump likes dictatorships like China, Russia, and North Korea. Trump pal-ed up to Putin in the World Cup after Russia invaded Ukraine. He even invited Russian elites into the White-house during the occupation. After receiving such a warm welcome by Trump , Russia attempted to conquer all of Ukraine. Unfortunately, Trump was no longer president. Ukraine survived. Trump also pal-ed up with Kim Jon Un. Trump and his family raked in a multitude of patents with China while disparaging them.
If the Biden loses, it's purely the fault of the Democrat party. They had the time to gather select another candidate. Anyone.
Nothing against Joe Biden. Nice guy, great story. His time is just up. Months ago, when Joe Biden was on the Howard Stern show, I had a feeling Democrats are in trouble. Victory for the other side will be "too easy" consider all the legal troubles and J6.
It's a bit late, but not too late. I think they can find someone younger, with a sharper tongue, and go on an all-out offensive attack.
