I'm pretty sure the TE position is not going away.Grinch wrote:Wonder what Zak and Rolo gonna do with all our tight ends?

Rolo knows how to use tightends. He killed us with his tightends. We just couldn't cover them. He did say that he liked the tightends that we have on our team. Maybe he can find a way to get them going.Grinch wrote:Wonder what Zak and Rolo gonna do with all our tight ends?
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

I really feel like a good receivers coach could come in and fix up the fundamentals and turn our receivers and tight ends into decent pass-catchers. I think a renewed emphasis on fundamentals will make a world of difference. Just "catch it in the noose"!RedZone wrote:Rolo knows how to use tightends. He killed us with his tightends. We also never really had competent coaches (DC and HC) who could make adjustments. If you donʻt adjust, keep going to what works.
Re: Zak Hill leaving?
Unreal, seen enough tweets that it must be at least half true. Not too devastating as he hasn't installed his offense, but would be a killer for recruiting right before NLI day.

Re: Zak Hill leaving?
Wow! Wonder if Coach Rolo had this one wrong. I remember during his presser saying he wants coaches who want/plan to stay and not "one year and out guys". For Zak to do that, kinda shoo-shoo man. We'll see if Rolo can keep this catch or it'll be a case of a broken fishing line.
Often wrong...seldom in doubt!

In this context, now Rolo's tweet this morning makes a lot of sense......

Zach apparently doesn't know the meaning of "Live Aloha".......just "Act Aloha".

If JJ has true love for the State of Hawaii.....but no huge grudge against AD Matlin......don't see why not?EITSwarrior wrote:Call JJ up.
Ego and pride......amongst & between the former teacher & principal (but passed over this time for principal) and his former student (now the principal).....will factor into whether this could work itself out.
