At least his departure opens up a roster spot.

He never made progress, which is a shame bc he has the right dimensions. Wish him the best nonetheless.

Constantly plaqued by a slew of various injuries so practiced tentatively whenever he was medically cleared. Finally had a healthy Spring Ball taking the majority of reps at RG with the 1s (with Peihopa’s absence) but his play still lacked physicality & aggression.

Sorry braddah i know im new here to the forum. I feel like i have to speak on this bc the O-line get such a hard time. I’ve been going to the practices in spring this year to watch my nephew who walked on as a O-lineman recently, so I’m not sure where this narrative about micah lacking aggression or physicality is coming from. Anyone who actually watched all of Spring Ball — not just the Spring Game — would know he brought it every single day. He was consistently one of the more aggressive and tenacious guys on the line, and that’s not just talk — that’s how he practiced and competed all spring.

Yeah, the Spring Game didn’t showcase the best from the OL overall, but let’s be real. A bunch of those guys were dealing with injuries or sickness, and it was the end of a long, physical spring. That doesn’t erase the work that was put in leading up to it. If you watched the practices(which I’m assuming you did) you’d know Micah and the center Sergio held it down and probably had two of the strongest camps out of the whole OL. Micah earned those 1st team reps at RG for a reason.

kapakahi has been evaluating OLmen for a long time and I know he's been to his share of spring practices this year. I trust what he has to say.

Have been a regular attendee at practice for well over a decade....almost 2 decades.

No doubt that your nephew had his best Spring Ball (after being moved inside to RG from RT)....since have been watching him for the past 3 years at practice (mostly dealing with injuries)....so was actually somewhat surprised to see him transferring out for his senior season.

Should have been more clear with my previous post. I was there to watch my nephew who walked on in the spring. Micah and Sergio aren’t my nephews. I’m just speaking as a fan not as an uncle. But then again we all ohana at the end of the day. Good luck to Micah and i hope he gets picked up. He’s a helluva talent, he just needs to be given the opportunity. What happened with that Ethan Spencer kid ?

Was dinged up for most of Spring Ball (since was still recovering from injuries that kept him out of the 2024 season-ending New Mexico game)….so took minimal reps….which is why Muti took the majority of snaps at C with the 2s during Spring Ball.
