2025 Interstate football games
Re: 2025 Interstate football games
1. Q: Is STL projected to be good this year?
They lost some GREAT linemen. Seems like STL trying to keep up with Kahuku who is clearly benefitting the past few years by attracting players probably from games like this (like the recent LB transfer to Kahuku from Orange Lutheran I read about on this board).
OIA/ILH
2. Q: Anybody heard about the possibility of the alliance coming back for the OIA/ILH?
This STL/SJB game makes me worry that, again, an OIA/ILH "Open" alliance, which SHOULD happen, is probably NOT going to happen. Which means STL and other schools are being forced to scramble and schedule games like this (instead of play other local teams). If I had to guess the reason this won't happen its actually because of Punahou [disaster of a program right now, I read on this board they are losing players which basically never happens - it's that bad] and KS [coming up but mid for so long it's hard to remember anything else], not anything to do about TV money or other BS. If the ILH does the right thing there should be an alliance.

Where did you hear about the alliance possibly coming back for this upcoming season?RealTalk wrote: ↑Tue Mar 11, 2025 9:45 am 1. Q: Is STL projected to be good this year?

Re: 2025 Interstate football games
Sorry, didn't mean to get anybody excited or confused. I haven't heard anything about it that's why I am asking if anyone else has because there are so many good posts about what is going on here. I didn't mean to SUGGEST that it was "possibly coming back for this upcoming season" but I did call it a "possibility" and was just trying to ask if anybody heard anything. Because it is possible. . . Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.
Re: 2025 Interstate football games
Trinity League team Junipero Serra plays Kamehameha on September 5 at Kapalama.
Also on September 5 Kahuku plays Mater Dei in CA. Looks like local schools have been burning up the phone lines to Trinity League schools for games.

Whoa, good info. Thanks @unpaid. That game at KSK will be interesting - next year KS has a couple very high-profile recruits in play. And Kahuku, well. We all know that Mater Dei game will be tough. Good luck to Kahuku on that road trip.

Re: 2025 Interstate football games
Junipero Serra HS (better known as JSerra Catholic HS), located in San Juan Capistrano, CA. (South OC), currently coached by HC Victor Santa Cruz (former UH LB & assistant coach) is the opponent playing KHS-Kapalama.
While JSerra Catholic HS plays in CIF's top Trinity League, just FYI that it should not be confused with Junipero Serra HS (San Mateo, CA.) and Junipero Serra HS (Gardena, CA.) which are better known programs that regularly compete for CIF Championships (as well as produce D1 college & NFL talent). BTW, 3 current UH players (OT Boogie Henderson, CB Devyn King & LB Noa Keohuloa) are graduates of Junipero Serra HS (Gardena, CA.), better known as Gardena Serra HS. https://twitter.com/JSerra_Football/status/1894125789656092824

- Cameron Hayes DB c/o 2015
- Malachi Mageo LB c/o 2014
- Samiuela Akoteu DL c/o 2014
Also
- Melquan Stovall (brother of Marquise)
- Jeremiah Masoli (former St Louis Crusader)
And some guys named
Barry Bonds, Lynn Swann and Tom Brady
Bonds, Brady, Swann & Masoli attended San Mateo Serra HS along with David Bakhtiari, while Deontay Burnett, George Farmer, Rasheem Green, Marqise Lee, Adoree Jackson & Robert Woods (USC); Matt Dickerson & Antonio Mafi (UCLA); Paul Richardson (Colorado) & Easop Winston Jr (Wazzu) are all Gardena Serra HS alums who went on to play in in the NFL.
Both Junipero Serra HS FB programs are high-profile....with San Mateo Serra HS having played in the CIF Open Division Championship game the past 3 seasons (but losing to Mater Dei & SJB)....while Gardena Serra HS has produced more FBS level & NFL players (although none as high-profile as Brady, Swann & probably Bakhtiari too).
