2024/25 cfb bowl games
Best one so far was Alamo Bowl. BYU completely dominated Colorado. None of Coach Prime's players did anything of significance. The Heisman winner did manage to score one impressive TD. Shaduer was sacked mercilessly and picked a few times.
Also, how is it that a 5-7 La Tech can play in their bowl, but we can't? La Tech also got killed by Army.

The Raiders and NY Giants showed what they think of Shaduer Sanders by winning and not tanking for a higher draft pick. They might be looking to offer Sam Darnold a huge contract as a better prospect.

Nah, Shadeur Sanders is a great quarterback. They got to a bowl game and were ranked for the first time in forever. They posted a losing season the first year with the same group of superstars. Unfortunately, football is a team sport and BYU was by far the better, all-round, team. Also, I've always liked Sam Darnold, since he was at USC, but it looks like he's found his home in Minnesota already.

Easy. Marshall, who was supposed to play Army, had to bail out of the game when, like, 26 (might have been more) players entered the portal right after Marshall screwed over the HC (wouldn't extend his contract). So he left for Southern Miss and a lot of his players basically gave Marshall the middle finger. La Tech saved the Independence Bowl since the school is only, like, 85 miles from Shreveport where the game is at.

I like the two points in overtime scoring. But, they got to limit the number of timeouts in overtime.

Well, Ashton Jeanty sure got stuffed against Penn St. Honestly, my favorite running back this year was Skattebo. I don't know why he didn't get much dapp. We'll see how he does against Texas. The game's on at 1am here, so I really can't watch it. I'll catch the highlights in the morning.

Wow...the Texas ASU game was something. Luckily, the game went into OT, so at least I could watch both OT's. I can't say the same for the OSU Oregon game. 34-8 at the half with Gabriel needing to score and convert 2pts with 2 seconds left in the half just to show a little something. Ohio St. has a true freshman playing both sides of the ball...and he's the game changer. Wow...

Every team that got a bye, lost. I think they will change things up next year.

Would you rather have Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith or Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter?
Re: 2024/25 cfb bowl games
The pros get byes and it doesn't seem to matter much. Ohio St and Penn St would've won with or without a bye. Arizona St was just unlucky. Boise St. and Oregon...were just bullied. Notre Dame and Texas are good but...I think it's gonna be Ohio St. and Penn St. in the championship.

Is this the same Notre Dame team who lost to Northern Illinois earlier this season?

Yep. Speaking of Northern Illinois, they are joining the MW in 2026 for football only.Walkoff Balk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 6:24 pm Is this the same Notre Dame team who lost to Northern Illinois earlier this season?

It's why I don't gamble. Who knows what's gonna happen...especially in CFB. Also, it's why I so enjoy watching.wyokie wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 6:27 pmYep. The quarterback in the shotgun on 4th down and short with the quarterback running has been successful in getting a first down. UH would give the ball to the running back and get stuff. It's too slow in developing. U of Texas tried the pitch to the running back near the goal line and got a big loss.
