This was not expected.
Was kind of weird this season that Dekel would make a great catch then be on the bench
I'm not sure who makes the decisions. Ursua or Chang regarding when the receivers sub out. It may be based on the plays, but they sure do rotate the receivers a lot. Back in the JJ era the same 4/5 receivers would play just about the entire game unless there was an injury. Maybe if they can go back to keeping the same receivers during the game there would be more consistency? I know it's hard to keep all the players happy when it comes to playing time. Obviously, the TP is always an option now days.
Must be Ursua as we've seen how TC will keep the same person in even if they aren't doing well.

Pretty sure TC controls the on field personnel for the offense as Thurman does the defense.

Love how committed Alejado is to UH even though he wasn't given a shot (until absolutely necessary) last season. Hope others will follow his lead and hope he remains this committed when he's putting up huge numbers and getting NIL offers next season!

Not to get ahead of ourselves but if he is good player for us, it will be almost impossible to keep him for his eligibility.
I think he's coming back. He only played in only 20 games over three years at Kentucky. Kentucky is a below average SEC team. He is our number 3 wide receiver with 400 yards on the year. In the final game of the year, he scored on a 52 yard reception from MA12. With one year of eligibility left, it makes sense for him to continue here. Also, so many receivers either departed or are true/red-shirt freshman. Crowdus has his best chance to have a break-out year here. l mean, of all the portal players we lost, only Darius Muasau made that move worthwhile. While Chevan did just as well at his next school, it was more of a lateral move, imo.
I mean absolutely no disrespect to either Crowdus or Kentucky. It's that window of opportunity and diamond in the rough shining through kind of thing I'm talking about. I think Crowdus is about to shine. I think he has the best opportunity to do so here.
It's a good sign that Dekel made a recommendation to his ex-teammate, Brandon White. Perhaps, he'll come back too like Nick. The promise of the offense was clear during the final game this year.
Be humble and confident in yourself and all things you do.
You tested the waters. You convinced your brother from Kentucky to play here. Whether you play here or at another disadvantaged portal school makes no difference. Hawaii balls. We will ball better with you. Come on back.
