I do know what I wanted to comment about when I read the article and that was why not pick undergrads for NIL as opposed to people scheduled(?) to graduate.shrek2 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 5:00 pm I kind of wish Alaska Air would have picked some players with good players which UH wanted back next year as well as Schager and Panoke.

Quarterback and co-captain Brayden Schager, whose streak of 33 consecutive starts ended because of a sprained left knee, appears to have exhausted his NCAA eligibility. Schager has accepted an invitation to play in the Jan. 19 Tropical Bowl in Daytona Beach, Fla.
UH also is seeking to bring in another quarterback.

Thank you for choosing to play for Hawaii. I will miss the Schager bombs.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

Good move. Setting that 34 game UH record does not mean much. BTW, is that more than Chang, is 33 the record?kapakahi wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 7:59 am https://www.staradvertiser.com/2024/12/ ... -football/By Stephen Tsai

BS13 is always thinking about the next level. Rest up. Get chance. He is something like #4 ranking QB in MWC. Go for Broke.

So Jake Farrell got his extra year. So what about Schager? The application must have been submitted at the same time.

If one redshirt in the middle, it counts differently, then "Redshirt Freshman?" Jake is listed as a Senior and did the Senior Walk. So I figure he was "done."

Good news in my eyes. Listening to Stutz this morning, he was talking about how he would put in their QB2 when QB1 was struggling and I thought, "wow, must be nice!" That's how it should've been done this year and we still could've redshirted MA, just give him more of a chance to get a drive going. With JJ signing, IF there's a need, hope TC can see past his pride and give QB2 a good look.kapakahi wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 6:50 amBS13’s appeal was denied by the NCAA….so he’s definitely PAU.cabanalane wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 4:49 am So Jake Farrell got his extra year. Every HC and/or OC from June to TG era used QB2 and not just in mop up to hand offtravo66 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 4:02 pmGood news in my eyes.
