Rainbow Warriors were picked 7/11 in this BW conference preview. Same placement as the Preseason Poll. Article has projected starters for every team. Talks about how Hawaii will rely on there returning guards for success this season. Worth a read.

Big year for Ganot. Do or die?

Abominable performance tonight against Chaminade. Can’t make threes. Can’t make free throws. Can’t handle the ball. Almost impossible to have 29 turnovers in 40 minutes. The Tom Beattie experiment has to end immediately. He is a turnover machine. Put him back as a 2 or3 already. Eran can start looking for a landing spot cuz this right now is embarassing. Transfers not showing me anything. Don’t look forward to a season of legit D1 schools when UH can barely hang on against two D2 schools. Eran needs to figure this out quickly or I can already see Angelos putting together his wish list. Sad

It feels good for a UH team to win after a terrible Thursday where the UH women's team lost in volleyball, soccer, and basketball. It's still hard to know about this year UH men's basketball team. They played a small college team with UH having a big height advantage.

I like many of the new guys on the team. Plus defenders, and they all have some good strengths. Really good start, and that North Carolina game this Friday looks to be an extremely tough challenge, but pretty exciting. Head to the game everyone!

#32, Tanner Christensen for Hawaii looks like a center. Blocks out, goes over defenders down low to dunk, passes out to the three point line. Beattie was my favorite last year and looks like he actually improved some. Normally it's a good thing to defeat SJSU but maybe not this year. Still UH looks like they may contend.

Last year's UH basketball team had more talent and experience. But, this year's team is more of ragtag team who will make the extra pass for a better shot. We'll see how well they perform against U of North Carolina tonight. I'm just hoping for a moral victory.

The U of North Carolina guards were on another level.

That was a close call against HPU last night. They can't have a scoring drought towards the end of the game. As the late Bill Walton would say, "Somebody make a shot."

And the turnover bug bites again. I3 to’s in first half against Grand Canyon. 27 point first half. Gonna be a long night. Starting lineup looks totally ineffective. Take wins where we can but there won’t be a lot
