Its time. The red states with their selfish and corrupt politicians, sociopaths, and misinformation machines need to be jettisoned. They are net receivers of federal funds and yet, vote against their financial interest again and again. Now they have doubled down on their stupidity, electing an unfit and unqualified con man and felon to the White House. The people who elected Trump do not display the values that hundreds of millions of Americans hold; honesty, integrity, compassion, and respect for the rule of law.

So time to let the red states go. See how they do when federal programs that they benefit from, and funded by blue states, are lost.

We need a true leader from the left to promote a national divorce.

And once that is done, place a ban on institutions that pass misinformation, fabrications, and narratives that cannot pass the logic and reasoning test. Or, re-institute the fairness doctrine. This one thing has led to where we are today.

Its like my handyman's spouse. She does not work, he works construction but at times work is slow. They recently won a hundred thousand in lottery scratch off. Instead of using that money to pay their apartment rent and taking her husband to see a dentist, she spends the money on a used Range Rover, and they get evicted from their apartment. They sleep in their car unless they have money for a hotel. He hangs around the Home Depot parking lot to see if he can get work. And yet she still does not work. ( I also think they were booted from Sec 8 ). He needs to leave her as she does nothing to better his/their situation.

Same with the nation. Like my handyman who needs to jettison his wife for his health and well being, we need to jettison the red states, they take blue state money, and in return, place a con man in the WH who emperils not just this nation but the planet.

Could this be part of a plan by Russia or China to "weaken" the U.S. See this democracy thing does not work. Just let them self-destruct. Pour a bit of fuel here and there and it will ignite.

It's easy to fight a divided U.S. Hard to fight a "united" one. There will not be war on the U.S. soil, more like for other countries in the Pacific, Europe, etc.

Possibly, better than a hot war for sure. The problem for me is that I cannot abide nor respect people who placed an OBVIOUS con man in the WH after all he has said and done. I find MAGA revolting and repugnant. I do not want to have anything to so with 1930'S Germany taking hold in the US. Trumpers will not change their behavior, people do not, unless the costs are just too high.

That will be interesting for sure. But judge Merchan should levy a sentence commensurate with past violations of that magnitude, regardless of Trump's stature or wealth. What do I think? Rich white men get away with murder.
