The NFL season opener was fantastic!

The season opener was much better than the Superbowl. Again, KC had a receiver open for an easy long TD! Both defenses were awesome. Van got knocked out mid-game with an injury. Murray ran like a person possessed. He did not slide...but he did take a sideline...once. Mahomes caught his own pass deflection! At the end, Murray botched a couple of TD passes that could have tied or won the game. This gonna be one helluva season.

It is over. If Mahomes doesn't get a season ending injury. The Kansas City Chiefs is going to 3-peat.

Not enough credit is given to Steve Spagnola who makes all the games close with his defense averaging 25+ yo. Even when Mahomes was out last year, the games were low scoring for both teams.

Tom Brady did a lot of dinking and dunking in his game analysis. It wasn't his fault that the Dallas vs. Cleveland game was terrible. The excitement of the game makes the broadcast.

The Lions showed up in overtime after stalling in the second half against the Rams.

The ending of the Eagles vs. Falcons reminds me of last year's Dolphins vs. Titans game. Kirk Cousins march down the field just like Will Levis against the Eagles defense headed by Vic Fangio. That game cost the Dolphins a home field playoff game.

Travis Kelce can't break up with Taylor Swift. KC gets all the refs calls or else the Swifties would go after them. A pass interference was called on a fourth down "Hail Mary" pass. The unwritten rule is that a ref won't call a pass interference on a "Hail Mary" desperation.

Surprised that they're not showing the Cowboys vs. Ravens game on Fox locally. The 49'ers vs. Rams have more interest in Hawaii. But, LA doesn't have their receivers. I don't know if the game is going to be close.

Monday Night Football was an awesome one with the Lions and the Sea Hawks. Among other things, Jared Goff had a perfect game. While having 100% of his passes caught, he managed to also catch one for a touch down. The Hawks also shined with a couple of offensive weapons from our old nemesis UCLA. Geno Smith looked pretty good as well. The highlights were a TD pass from Amon Ra St Brown to Jared Goff and a wide receiver lateral pass by Seattle that gave them a first down and a chance to come back. They didn't. Both teams are now 3-1.
