I doubt it, but I'm willing to be proven wrong. He seemed hesitant and lacked explosiveness.

Good info. I'd like to see all the other backs (other the Sims) get more touches. The other backs are quicker to the gaps. They are slashers and can get to the edge and stretch the field horizontally. I like Sims but he has more limitations and when he is in the game the D knows what is coming.

I like this guy a lot! He said all the right things too. Is he one of the players that the coaching staff is waiting to insert til like Conference play? Why is he not playing right now if he's allegedly that good. The tape and offers kinda speaks for itself.

DBII has the explosiveness and speed to break one loose while having the power to Block and lay some hits (he played RB & LB in HS).

He add the element of surprise as opponents not knowing if he's in the block or run.

UH needs a new face, strategy at RB. The running game has been weak AF during the TC era. Finding players who can block and run the ball well is difficult. Personally, since Taala isn't playing much, use him as the elephant back. He was a rugby player in Samoa. Hines needs a few carries too. Sims up the middle for 1 yard doesn't work.

Hopefully, Derek gets some burn. He's been hurt a bunch and I hope he gets his shot. He's burued on the RB depth chart.

Would really like to see Boyd get some touches at RB. I agree with Palolo as Sims for 1 yard up the middle just reminds me of Chowtime. A very painful period in Warrior football history.

I want a runningback who has the knack for finding holes and the quickness to hit them. I was watching UCF back this past week and I was amazed at how he waited for a hole to open then exploded through it. Amazing. It seems to me like our backs have a knack of running up the backs of our blockers.
