So who's fault would that be under? HC. What if BS13 did TP out? Who will be the starting QB? Freshman 1 or Freshman 2? Coach Jake Farrell? If they needed another QB to give BS13 competition, real competition, where is he? That scout team QB UH just got may really be QB2 because he got the most IRL game experience.
You bring up a good point about Shager leaving. My assumption is they would have been forced to find NIL money for a seasoned QB. But, why not do that even after #13 returned?
Hawaii lacks the NIL budget. Look at ppl like Paiva went to Vandy from NMST and got huge NIL. UH going have to sell plenty smoke meat, portage sausage and Zippys chilli to build theNIL budget. Lol.

A lot of good points here but as we saw from Bruins a mobile quarterback can do a whole lot of damage. Having a quarterback with a flat tire is just going make him a sitting target. I had actually thought that they would given him a rest after getting injured. It would have given them more time to look at his injury. Watching UCLA going after him was brutal. You hit any quarterback enough and it will affect his accuracy and timing. I thought that early on in the game that he was moving, sliding in the pocket. Doing a pretty good job. I just wonder why they did not take him out after he was injured . Coach Dan has said that we have 4 that can play. I don’t know but if Timmy thinks that he is way ahead of the other QBs I would have saved him for conference play.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

Good points...I've said in the past when we had bad blocking by the OL that it would matter if we had Montana back there bc without time and getting nailed takes a toll.

I believe BS13 has been in the R&S for 1 year? Is that correct? Prior to last season it was the RPO. I always heard it takes a year and a half for the light to go on for the R&S.
No mattah how critical, I support our Warrior players.
There has got to be social pressure to play BS because his parents are there for the games. Seems to me the QBs need to continue to work together with the WRs after practice so that they develop a relationship with all the receivers; much the same as McKenzie Milton used to do at Mililani and possibly at UCF. Something that I thought was a given was they ran a jet sweep with Hines against DSU but they probably didn't do it against UCLA because of the 4+ star recruits on the defense, but why not try the 4.33 WR transfer on the jet sweep to open the middle. Also, since they have at athlete on DL who doesn't appear to start why not try his 6'4 frame, 40 inch vertical on offense and maybe try him two way.

Fair...but mechanics, in game awareness and inaccuracy are non scheme related.

Didn’t say it wasn’t a problem. I’m saying this reaction is.
Just frustrated with sticking with a broken script.
I understand that. I would focus more of my frustration on the playcalling rather than on the players.
I get that...but the delay of games and short hopping throws and only going to #5 are solely on #13.
I also agree that playcalling is all over the place. Those RB dives into a brick wall make me cringe. Where are the seam routes and rubs? Call unko Rolo bc those were his favorite.

schager is overrated.he has no touch on his passes.he doesn’t make good decisions and is very predictable to the defense.i wish he would have transfered.
