Potential because of his agility and length. But needs time to get stronger and better technique wise. He can be a factor a couple of years down the road.

“I just committed,” Kernaghan said. “They really welcomed us. They made us feel like a priority and treated my family really well.”
Kernaghan, who is 6 feet 4 and 285 pounds, blocks for Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, who is considered one of the state’s best quarterbacks. Kernaghan — who also can play left tackle, center and defensive tackle — allowed one sack last season.
Kernaghan’s footwork, first-step quickness and reach are credited with his pass-blocking success. He also said his ability to set screens in basketball helped impede pass rushers.
“When you play basketball, you slide in front of that defender,” Kernaghan said. “I stood in the way so they don’t hit Jaron and he could get a clean ball off. Jaron’s a really good captain and also a good player. I’ve got to protect him so he can throw a good ball.”
Kernaghan praised Derek Fa‘avi, UH’s new O-line coach. “Coach Fa‘avi is a really good coach,” Kernaghan said. “He’s straight up with you. I like that. Outside of football, he’s a real chill guy, really down to earth.”

“This weekend was really good with the way the staff at UH treated me was unbelievably welcoming. It really felt like a family and myself and the other recruits were bonding and got close. The culture at UH is changing; the boys on the team really are getting after it, and they really coming for it next season and the plans that Coach Timmy has about keeping the team local is a really good plan.”

Nice to see local OL commit to us. Glad he's an athletic type instead of a mauler type.

Re: 2025 Campbell HS OL Jordan Kernaghan commits
Hopefully Kernaghan sticks with the Warriors throughout his career as he gains experience. He could be a force.

https://twitter.com/Jordan55kernagh/status/1810775170082390424- Ewa Beach (Hawaii) Campbell tackle and Hawaii commit Jordan Kernaghan flashed for us as well. He showed active feet and active hands and was among the most athletic players at his position.
Frame wise, he could move inside and play guard in college but he definitely has a tackle skill set to him. He looks reps at both left and right tackle and did a really nice job mirroring opposing edge rushers and always looked in control and on-balance.

Ewa Beach (Hawaii) Campbell offensive lineman Jordan Kernaghan announced his commitment to Hawaii in June shortly after his official visit to the home-state school.
A week before, his teammate at Campbell, Aisiah Paogofie, committed to the Warriors.
Kernaghan followed suit,
"They're making the local kids the foundation and made me feel at home," said Kernaghan. "The players are really welcoming and they make the recruits feel like that's their home."
Kernaghan said he appreciated how the Warriors are making the local kids a major priority and said that Timmy Chang's emphasis on making the in-state kids such a priority for the program was a big part of his decision-making process.
"Coach Timmy (Chang), I didn't talk with him a lot before the visit and then on the visit I talked with him and I just really felt I wanted to play for him," said Kernaghan.
Offensive line coach Derek Faavi also played a role in recruiting Kernaghan to the Warriors.
"They want me to play every position if I can," said Kernaghan. "They haven't told me specifically which spot I'll play, I can play tackle or guard, but they want me to be ready to play any spot. I play right tackle for Campbell. I started off playing left tackle, but I transitioned to the right side to protect Jaron (Keawe Sagapolutele) and his blind side because he's left-handed."
The 6-4, 287-pounder said he's planning to sign in December and will graduate in the spring and enroll next summer.
