They took the Big West Tourney so it would be interesting if they're seeded in the Midwest and play against Nebraska. Nebraska drew 92K in their preseason game.

The UH Wahine volleyball team was like butter as it's on a roll. They were inconsistent throughout the year. You can depend on Igiede being great, and Lang and Evans being steady. But, it was Alexander going back to early season form. Wagoner made kills just when they needed her most. The announcer used the local term "Go for Broke." Ham's senior play was valuable. Ikenaga digging up every ball especially that Long Beach server with a wicked left handed Thelle serve.

I like Hawaii's chances against Iowa State. They lost to a BWC team but they have a 20 game win season. No head toppers to borrow the line from Hoosiers.

There was a new Sheriff in town at the Pyramid. The UH Wahine didn't have to send any reinforcements as "The Magnificent Seven" restored order. They showed up in a showdown in the wild, wild Big West. Hope there's a remake for the NCAA tournament.

You have to give credit to the UH coaching staff for making defensive adjustments. After the first game where Iowa St. hit in a high percentage. Iowa St. hit into UH blocks and made a lot of hitting errors for the rest of the match. Their hitting errors were a result of UH's D-Fence. U of Oregon's court is wearing too much makeup.

Robyn Ah Mow made two successful challenges that made significant impact on the match. She seems like a good team captain with maybe a few more years will be seasoned into becoming a great HC. With Hawaii, you just need the Wahine team to have the personality that brings in the 3rd highest attended NCAA women's VB. I like the abilities of their undersized players like Hakas, Alexander, et al. Tonight they face a tall Duck team like the Washington team they faced a couple of years ago.

The more the U of Oregon team advances. The better U of Hawaii would look. It's tough to beat a highly ranked host team in the second round. I'll probably root for U of Oregon because of their Hawaii ties.

A nice, albeit up and down season. Congrats on winning the inaugural BWC tournament and first round win.

Jill Gillen of Arkansas is the Brooke Van Sickle of Arkansas. They play Nebraska tonight with a team that doesn't have much height which really makes a statement that height is not a predetermining factor in the NCAA tournament.

Four of the six seniors on the UH Wahine Volleyball team were transfers. UH sports have benefited more from the transfer portal.

Texas #4 vs Nebraska #1 @ 12pm PST/10am HT on ABC. Unfortunately, this conflicts with my NFL game of the week. Go Huskers.

U of Texas women's volleyball team has the player's last name on their jersey. You saw "Akana" when she was serving with a camera behind the server shot. Parents of these athletes deserve credit for raising up these young adults. Their family getting acknowledged is a reward by having their last name on the back of the jersey. You know that these college athletes play with a 10 on the max level effort. With the last name on that back of the jersey. the effort goes to 11 to make their family proud.
