To say this game is a must win is an understatement.
- Already we only had less than 8000 turnstile against UAlbany and a lost will have even less fans (especially students) at the next home game. Imagine Men's and Women's VBall drawing more fans at the SSC than our football team.
- Going into conference play at 1-4 would mean we have to go 6-2 in conference to be bowl eligible.
- Future recruits may start decommiting and current studs may consider the portal.

NMSU has been on an upswing since hiring Jerry Kill. I wonder if the school is pumping much more money into the football program as well?
His "Killing" it with his seasoned assistant coaches including Tony Sanchez (former UNLV & Bishop Gorman Head Coach) and a few others who coached with him at TCU
Jerry Kill and his assistants are...not so easy to get excited about. Uhmm...Hawaii's staff is somewhat more updated...relevant(?) Wyoming defeated Texas Tech...and dropped Texas, albeit in a loss to them, off the top tier of college football. I'm much more worried about facing Wyoming, Air Force, SDSU, and Nevada. If we lose to NMSU, it's our own fault. The loss of Muasau was huge last year. He absolutely killed it for UCLA.
I don't know if pumping money into a manini program is as important as building one. This latest quick fix of an 'oops' in program building is not so bad as others. We'll see.

"Biggest Game in Timmy Chang's coaching career" ~ Rich Miano on the Sports Animal's Show
This is only true if we lose. If we win, it means little. A loss will be a start of the slow drip to insignificance.
Up to this point in Timmy Hawaii Head Coaching Career it is true! Biggest Game in Timmy coaching career! Timmy is the only Hawaii Head Coach to lose to NMSU ever! And got blowout loss to make the loss even more embarrassing. This is a must win game!!!! I hoping for the win!
We need better play calling. Quick ball control short passes. Spread the field horizontally. Force LBs to support the pass. Screens and passes to RBs out of the backfield. Pass to open up the running game. Then hit them with long pass.
