BTW, Rolovich's record wasn't that great at Hawaii: 7-7, 3-9, 8-6, and 10-5.
In his final season, Rolovich bested Arizona and Oregon St. in the season openers. However, Arizona finished the year with an abysmal 4-8 record. The Beavers finished 5-7. We lost to Boise in the championship game and edged out BYU in the Hawaii Bowl. BYU finished 7-6. Uhm...that 10-5 final year for Rolovich wasn't that impressive after all. May be another reason why the idiots in charge of the Pac 12 failed?

He was conference champion as OC in 2010. Maybe that doesn’t mean much to you. But for the players, that means something.SundayJam wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2023 10:51 pm BTW, Rolovich's record wasn't that great at Hawaii: 7-7, 3-9, 8-6, and 10-5.

Moniz had like 5,000 yards passing and like 40 something touchdowns that year. Yah think Timmy going to do that this year?

McMackin was the head coach in 2010. He tasked his two newly elected minions...Rolovich and Aranda...to accomplish that end. Moniz grossly underperformed the next year...which led to the event of Chowball. Rolo...did as I chronicled. His time is over. Aranda outshone them all.UnBiasFan wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2023 11:20 pmHe was conference champion as OC in 2010. Maybe that doesn’t mean much to you. Rather than minions, dare I say proteges? At the time, they were nobodies. Aranda's career has been stellar ever since. He even won a national championship. Rolo's career? Meh.UnBiasFan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 3:52 amThat kind of ends this discussion. Thanks for participating.SundayJam wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 1:01 amMcMackin was the head coach in 2010. Re: *** Official Nick Rolovich Thread ***
There are many noise-makers on this forum who don't back up their stories with reality. The suits...and forum contributors...at Hawaii have a long history of making noise...trying to fix things from the outside...when their plans don't pan out. Scheduling heavy pay-out teams doesn't always favor the underdog. Yes...sometimes it does...as in Rolovich's last year as head coach for Hawaii. The scheduled Pac-12 teams he bested for Hawaii weren't all that. They sucked...and yet...he got a big, undeserved promotion to the Pac-12. Rolovich eschewed pandemic protocols...complained that he couldn't do his job because of them...and then lied that he had complied to the peril of his players.
Rolovich and Moniz are neither here nor there. Rolovich was the player and coach who kinda made it here and there. Well, Hawaii...and the Pac-12...paid him, but they got robbed. Moniz was the player who rode on the success of Alexander, but failed the next year. Yes, the schedule was tough, but he tried to do too much. He threw interceptions and gave up fumbles...like crazy.
The championship coaches for Hawaii in 2010 were: McMackin, Miano, Lee, Rolovich, and DAVE ARANDA.
The strongest members of that championship team were McMackin and Aranda.

September 17, 2023 by Thomas Shanks
According to XFL Seattle head coach Jim Haslett, Nick Rolovich is slated to replace June Jones as the offensive coordinator of the Sea Dragons.
Seattle’s outgoing offensive coordinator June Jones, who coached Rolovich as a player and previously hired him as a coach at Hawaii, reportedly recommended Rolovich for the Sea Dragons position.
