Thanks for the insight
Re: 2022-2023 Wrestling Season
ILH this weekend and OIA’s next. I think the ILH will benefit from having extra time to work on things and get a step ahead of the competition

I don't understand. Everyone has the same amount of time to work on things.... They might have more recovery time, but not more time to work on things. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding you

Re: 2022-2023 Wrestling Season
ILH has Kamehameha dominating every year. Saint Louis tries to compete but hasn’t come close yet. OIA looks to have rotating title contenders with Leilehua, Moanalua and now Kapolei

@justafan:
Hope you don't mind my coming-out of "retirement" to post a stupid opinion here. You say Kamehameha dominates the ILH every year. Well, Kamehameha had also been dominating girls' STATE D1 soccer for the past three years. They were top-seed again this year. But what happens? They lose to Punahou in the title game, 3-0. That's like losing 21-0 in football. Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. I'd been ticked-off about it for the past four days. Thanks for allowing me to vent.

Re: 2022-2023 Wrestling Season
Even though they fell short, Mililani looked solid this past weekend. Adrian Lee put up a solid match against Pagurayan... looked like he got hurt early on and had really had to stick it out.
Kapolei as a whole looked solid (both boys and girls). Moanalua girls came in swinging as well. Looking forward to OIAs'.
Some standouts this from this past weekend (just to name a few as there were a lot of impressive matches):
Taam
Pagurayan
Shimabukuro
Shigemoto
Porter
Woolsey, M.
Woolsey, E.
Tanele
Zeller, K.
Lee
Ramos-Semana, Z.
Ramos-Semana, J.
Corpuz
Tynan
Akeo
Kato, S.
Kapolei as a whole looked solid (both boys and girls). Moanalua girls came in swinging as well. Looking forward to OIAs'.

Re: 2022-2023 Wrestling Season
Looks like some of your West picks aren't competing this weekend, (Corpuz, Kimura, Kahele-Akeo). Bummer. I'm gonna go with Coelho over Lauifi at heavyweight. Also, at 113, maybe I haven't seen Baptista wrestle enough, but his record doesn't look the greatest. On the East, it looks like you got all the number 1 seeds. With the east being not so deep, I don't see many big surprises taking place there. In the ILH, the match I'm super interested in seeing is at 120 between Lau and Frias.talloola25 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 12:54 pm ILH Championship is Saturday. 160 I think Stl will repeat his pin against Wailehua. Plus the way KAM showed his poor sportsmanship after his loss, I’m cheering for anyone against him. It was pretty bad the way the KAM AD didn’t even do anything either.
120 I’m pulling for Frias, loosing his father recently I think he will be inspired

113 - Estabillio over Kamaka'ala
120 - Corpus over Kato
126 - Shimabukuro over Shigemoto
132 - Kimura over Moanalua(either Wang or Pasion)
138 - Taam over Woolsey
145 - Porter over Grilho
152 - Goeas over Garcia
160 - Lee over Durand
170 - Pagurayan over Shields
182 - Baekkeland over Pinales
195 - Kahele-Akeo over Sailele
220 - Salangdron(beat Yong soundly to even the score) over Yong
285 - Coelho over Lauifi
Kapolei 1, Mililani 2, Moanalua 3

1 seeds won almost every weight. At 195 I think Seales got hurt and fft. Otherwise all went to chalk
