Was walking through the UH bookstore and saw the new #BRADDAHHOOD t-shirts and thought it would be a good time for a free giveaway. To enter, all you need to do is post on this thread (or the SportsHawaii.com Facebook post) what you're excited for in the upcoming football season. Winner receives a men's #BRADDAHHOOD t-shirt, size Large. One entry per person, recipient's address must be in the United States, contest ends August 25, 2022 9am HST.

I'm excited to see the players playing with passion again by regaining their love for the sport. The vibe was dead - on the sidelines, in the kids body language, in their eyes, etc. It's a brutal sport and if your heart is not in it everyday is an eternity.

Also, having a local legend return as the HC and be successful is the best storyline for this program in my lifetime. Some success is imperative for the near future of the program and can start a new legacy.

I’M SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THE UPCOMING SEASON!!!!!! I’ve been watching clips of former Rainbow Warriors like Jeff Sydner, Grice-Mullen, Dane McArthur, and historic games against BYU, University of Washington, etc. Helped me remember the band playing Hawaii 5-O as team ran onto field, Vili the Warrior, and the guy that used to run on the field to retrieve the kicking tee. And I can’t wait to see who’s going to be the next Warrior heroes like Al & Niko Noga, Gary Allen, Toloumu, Semari Ulufale, Nate Jackson, Ulbrich, Pisa, Laboy, etc.

And, my teenage daughter wants to watch Rainbow Warrior football or attend some games. She can learn what The Braddahhood & Sistahhood is about!

This team will be exciting to watch this season because now it has an identity. Over the last two years, It was very wishy-washy what they do you want to do? I kinda reminded me of the Fred Von Appen era, (thanks Hugh ) when they had no clue what kind of offense they wanted to run. We’ll be overlooked by some teams for surah but I like OC Shoemaker mentality to move the sticks, get into the ‘Green (red) Zone’ and score TDs not FGs. Too bad Calvin Turner couldn’t have play in this offense….

Defense gonna shock us this year, DC Yoro, gonna make stars outta the front 6..
I believe will get more production and pressure from those positions. They gotta help the secondary, all new back there..

I'm excited about a few things. The boyz finally get to play a real home game. They can walk to the field and play in front of a packed house. We have a well-rounded staff of loyal, savvy coaches. The players clearly love them and it's obvious in the quality commitments we've received under trying circumstances. Most importantly, we are underestimated. The opposition just doesn't know what is going to hit them. I remember the same feeling after Colt's first losing year at Hawaii. This is gonna be one of those years.

- The new players who came because they want to be Rainbow Warriors
- The New Helmets
- The diehard Hawaii fans

I'm excited to see the new recruits play. Although we lost a lot of key players, I feel like we did a pretty good job of upgrading a lot of other positions. And just excited for college football to be back in general!
