Re: RB David Afari commits
Has good vision, bounces when needed and runs behind his pads. However, he definitely needs to work on quickness through the hole.
Be humble and confident in yourself and all things you do.

David Afari RB in transfer portal from Miami-Ohio University, originally from West Chester, OH., with 4 to play 3.

Real nice. Hope he signs. My kind of back.

Here's his HS video. While he was primarily an RB, I like the fact that he was put in the slot at times and caught passes too.

Re: RB David Afari not coming…
Regardless of the circumstances, this is definitely not a good look for UH and DA BRADDAHHOOD….especially if a different new transfer RB subsequently commits.

Re: RB David Afari commits
Many times when a player decommits, it's because the offer was pulled or changed to say a grayshirt. We've actually gotten recruits that way when their offer was pulled by another school. Smart recruits don't say anything bad about the school that pulled the offer. Saying otherwise will make other schools wary of working with a recruit that doesn't take the high road.
Re: RB David Afari commits
chasing scholarships has always been like chasing a job recruitment. it isn't binding until the contracts are signed and timelines need to be observed. using an announced transfer to lure a better offer can be problematic.

This is a business and sometimes as a leader you need to adjust plans or make tough decisions. It is unfortunate that the offer changed, but it comes with the territory. Hope the young guy gets another opportunity somewhere else.
The RB room has been upgraded with Boyd, Hines and Moton. I LIke these playmakers and potential. I think Boyd has the highest upside at RB bc the other 2 RBs are tiny.

Hines worked out exclusively with the SB group this past Spring Ball…as did RS frosh Jordan Johnson….after both were signed by TG as hybrid RB/SB (which does not appear to be an significant part of the Shoe’s offensive package). Both had limited reps due to injuries. Hines also worked out with PR group.Palolo_2LA wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 3:18 am The RB room has been upgraded with Boyd, Hines and Moton. Nasjza Bryant got the majority of the 2nd team RB reps during Spring Ball while Ronsin Young got the majority of the 3rd team RB reps. While both demonstrated the potential to be contributors, still neither has any extensive D1 playing experience. Only returning Super Senior RB Dedrick Parson has extensive
D1 playing experience as a proven contributor.

Saw Moton with his dad at Spring Ball in person and can share that he’s definitely not tiny. He looks like a slightly smaller version of Dedrick Parson…with a similar thick muscular build.
While Boyd and/or Moton might be ready to play immediately this season, I still wouldn’t be surprised if a new transfer RB with extensive D1 playing experience is subsequently added to the RB room (based on what happened last season when RB1 Daedae Hunter got injured with RB2 Dedrick Parson still available & ready to play).

Re: RB David Afari commits
Figured Hines would be a SB type...Moton is 5'8 190, so he might be thick however still small for an RB in D1.kapakahi wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 8:04 amHines worked out exclusively with the SB group this past Spring Ball…as did RS frosh Jordan Johnson….after both were signed by TG as hybrid RB/SB (which does not appear to be an significant part of the Shoe’s offensive package). I'm hopefully we get a power back a la West Kelikipi or Nate the Great.

Best power back that I have seen at UH was Wilbert Haslip.Palolo_2LA wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 10:16 amFigured Hines would be a SB type...Moton is 5'8 190, so he might be thick however still small for an RB in D1.kapakahi wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 8:04 amHines worked out exclusively with the SB group this past Spring Ball…as did RS frosh Jordan Johnson….after both were signed by TG as hybrid RB/SB (which does not appear to be an significant part of the Shoe’s offensive package).
