2022 football recruits

Post by unpaid »

Signing days for c/o 2021 players have come and gone.Time to move on to 2022 players.Recruiting services are in the evaluation process for rising seniors and underclass men so this list is based off of 247sports Composite Rank,Rivals and ESPN 300 lists from the 2021 cycle.2022 updates are coming.

Kahuku LB Tausili Akana 2023 was one of 247sports top five defensive players from this past weekend at the Pylon 7on7 event in Bullhead City, AZ. The writer liked his height, fluid motion, ability to break up pass plays, speed to keep up with tight ends or slot receiver in coverage, and mostly shutting down his man in pass coverage. That’s not a typo. Akana’s school was listed as Kahuku.

Update. 247sports published a separate article later on Monday detailing QB’s who impressed at the Pylon event. Three star
QB Blaine Hipa ,Campbell 2022 was one of those players. The writer described Hipa as having a cannon for an arm with a compact delivery.

Another update from this past weekend from the Battle 7on7 Phoenix event. 2022 WR Devon Tauaefa ,St.Louis 6-4 200 was a matchup problem for opposing defensive backs .His Lo-Pro team made it to the final. 247sports has the report.

Four stars,

Tevarua Tafiti LB Punahou
Jayden Maiava QB-PP Kaimuki

Three stars,

Laakea Kapoi OL St.Louis
AJ Bianco QB St.Louis
Kaeo Akana LB Roosevelt
Blaine Hipa QB Campbell
Jonah Savaiinaea OL St.Louis
Laakea Louis LB St.Louis

Blaine Hipa, Ewa Beach (Hawaii) James Campbell, '22- This was our first time seeing Hipa live in over a year and he made a fast impression on us. He's one of those players where you only need to see 2-3 throws to know there's something special about him. The southpaw has a cannon for an arm and he loves to get it down the field. For as much juice as he has, he doesn't need a big wind up but showed off a smooth, compact delivery. He has a solid 6-2, 200 pound frame and was very productive as a sophomore. He didn't have a chance to compete as a junior due to Covid but showed over the weekend he should definitely be on a lot of quarterback boards. Hawaii and Tennessee have already offered.

247sports recently expanded their c/o 2023 recruit rankings to 247 players from the initial 100. They will be juniors this fall. Tausili Akana , Kahuku received a blue chip four-star rank. Liona Lefau,ILB 6-1 210,and Leonard Ah You OLB 6-2 180 received three star ranks. Even though 247sports has Kahuku listed as their school, Lefau and Ah You are currently in Bellevue WA playing football at Sammamish HS. I will put them on the Hawaii list if/when they return to Hawaii.
Blue-chip QB Jayden Maiava is transferring to Liberty HS,Henderson,NV and will play there this fall.

Four stars,

Tevarua Tafiti LB Punahou
Tausili Akana OLB Kahuku 2023
Iapani Laloulu OG Farrington 2023 new ranking on 247sports

Three stars,

Laakea Kapoi OL St.Louis
AJ Bianco QB St.Louis
Kaeo Akana LB Roosevelt
Tavo Motupuaka OL Mililani newly ranked on 247sports
Brock Fonoimoana DB Kahuku 2023 newly ranked on 247sports

Jonah Savaiinaea OL St.Louis

Laakea Louis LB St.Louis
Devon Tauaefa WR St.Louis

Kahuku could be pretty good if those guys in WA come back for fall and Akana stays at Kahuku.
