Blaine Hipa, Ewa Beach (Hawaii) James Campbell, '22- This was our first time seeing Hipa live in over a year and he made a fast impression on us. He's one of those players where you only need to see 2-3 throws to know there's something special about him. The southpaw has a cannon for an arm and he loves to get it down the field. For as much juice as he has, he doesn't need a big wind up but showed off a smooth, compact delivery. He has a solid 6-2, 200 pound frame and was very productive as a sophomore. He didn't have a chance to compete as a junior due to Covid but showed over the weekend he should definitely be on a lot of quarterback boards. Hawaii and Tennessee have already offered.

“Hawaii was my first. I was super psyched about that one, growing up watching them,” Tafiti said. “I got re-offered by Coach (Jacob) Yoro. I called him.”
When the previous staff departed, Tafiti wasn’t certain about the offer.
“(Teammate) Kahanu (Kia) said the coaches want to talk to you,” he said of the re-offer.
“I got my first offer at the end of my sophomore season from U.H. It just made my family so proud and just the scholarship to release the burden financially from my family and myself. It gives me the opportunity to focus on the sport I love and obtain an education. It’s a crazy feeling.”

Will be interesting to see how/if UH's recruiting approach for the next 2022 Signing Class will be affected....
Sione Tavo Motuapuaka OG/OT from Mililani HS (formerly Pac-5 in 2018, then Radford HS in 2019); also with offers from SDSU, Utah & Wazzu (all made late last week). Younger brother of current Utah State (and former Punahou School '18) DL Hale Motuapuaka.

Interesting that we're making offers in Arkansas (Nimrod and Davis). Looks like Bo Graham is the point recruiter in that area.
