I'll go on the limb and say Schager can be just as good as CM. I looked at his junior year high lights, and agree with the player's assessment of himself in that he said he can make all the throws. He can. What I saw in his HS tapes were 45-yard ropes (deep passes, and short passes out of the backfield almost effortlessly, and with a quick-releases) against the 5H competition. He has the knack of throwing the ball into windows where the WR can catch the ball. Last season Shager was back up to a 4-star recruit that signed with Oklahoma State so it's hard to gauge his true ability having limited action. But IMO Schager seems to have a lot of raw ability that may be untapped. Last season freshmen (Shorer) for Highlands HS might be the best QB on the team (that player is impressive for freshmen) so it will be interesting to see if Schager gets playing time this season. I'm happy with this signing.

Well, with a real quarterback QB coach, I look for in game adjustments if GJ Kinne stays and Schager doesn't change his mind.

I was just thinking of the same thing. Notice he used a pic of CM. I'm sure he searched youtube and notice who to model after/or was similar to his style.
