Who could the transfer QB possibly be???

Stephen Tsai wrote:If Tuileta decides to join USC as a walk-on, the Warriors will bring in another quarterback. They have three who have shown strong interest — two from Division I schools, one from a junior college.

These are QB who will be eligible in 2014
- Former 4* QB Matt Davis, Texas A&M (played at Tyler JC in 2013 and will now have 3 years to play 3)

- Former 4* Pro Style QB Max Wittek, USC; will graduate and can play immediately and have 2 to play 2

- Former 4* Pro Style QB Andrew Hendrix is transferring from Notre Dame. Since he is graduating, he can play his senior year immediately.

- Former 3* Pro Style QB and Big 12 Fresh of the Year, Baker Mayfield will transfer from Texas Tech after 1 year as a walkon.
NOTE: If he wasn't a preferred walkon at Texas Tech, he could play immediately in 2014

- Former 3* Dual Threat QB Michael Brewer will transfer from Texas Tech. He will graduate and eligible to play in 2014 and have 2 to play 2

- Former 3* Dual Threat QB Kendal Thompson will transfer from the University of Oklahoma. After graduating in May 2014 he will have 2 years to play 2.

College Recruiting just like the NFL draft is hit or miss! This is from Staradvertiser via Associated Press.

PERSPECTIVE: Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was a two-star recruit, according to Rivals, when he signed with North Carolina State in 2007. The top-rated QB in that class was Jimmy Clausen. This is not an exact science.

Tuileta signed as a walkon to USC.
Common Norm, show your magic and bring in one of the above.

That stinks. Understandable but still stinks.

Good for Tuileta. IMO, he has a better chance at volleyball than football. I doubt he's gonna play football at USC, though just cause I've seen seen guys go to a DI school as a "two-sport" athlete but only end up sticking with one of them.

Edit: Referring to what Tsai posted, why does it matter if we sign Tuileta or not for the other QBs to come in? Just bring em in anyways!

We really need a QB. Wittek makes a lot of sense to me for both sides. He could easily win the starting job.

How do you sign a walk-on? What do they sign?

Until he enrolls, he's free to do whatever. Does he really want to sit on the bench & be the back-up scout team QB?

What will he do if Charlie Wade offers a full ride VB schollie?

UH is showing interest in Wittek.

Yeah this is an age old debate here. Diamonds in the rough are cool, but I'd put my money down on a team full of 5* recruits over one full of 2* recruits all day.

If I were Norm I'd take in more than one QB this recruiting period.

Stephen Tsai:

Jeezy, Al, Shoko and the rest of you were correct that UH needed to bring in QBs.
But they were committed to holding a spot for a guy. Once that guy decided he wanted to go elsewhere, that triggered other movements.
In any scenario, if Wittek wants to come to UH, UH is taking Wittek.

I think it'd be great to have Wittek, but I think Wittek would only come if he thought he had a good chance of beating out Graham to play for two years before trying the pros - and - if Chow were really opening up a competition at QB. I think Whittek wants to play both 2 years he has left. If he's a patient guy and is willing to accept the risk of possibly playing just one year if Graham starts this year...hey, the more the merrier.

Out of all those guys listed, Mayfield would be the #1 on my list. He is the only proven winner, the rest are backups...
