2008 UH Sched and Opponent Scheds Week 17 Bowl game results

Post by chawan_cut »

2ND to the last schedule update....
Here's this year's version. Same format as last year. They're jpgs, as there isn't a way to put tables in these forums.

It'll be updated every Sunday after games unless I'm traveling or without a PC/Internet.

Got the schedules from here:
http://www.jhowell.net/cf/scores/Sked2008.htm

Lemme know if you see an error. I'm human.

Here's another good site. You can query a database to see who played when and what the results were over the history of college football.
http://football.stassen.com/records/

The *'s are for conference games.

Fresno St will not be a BCS crasher....

+1 They always screw up against a team that they normally would beat easily. You can set your watch by it!

Thanks Chawan_cut! This will be great to reference throughout the season. Unfortunately last season it showed just how bad the WAC was in their OOC success. Hopefully this year the WAC does better and Hawaii repeats as WAC champions.

Chawan, the New Mexico State-Nicholis State game has been postponed due to Gustav so you'll need to update the the schedule you made at the top of the thread.

http://www.nmstatesports.com/ViewArticl ... ID=1571739
Las Cruces, N.M. – New Mexico State Athletics Director Dr. McKinley Boston announced late Friday afternoon that due to Hurricane Gustav hitting Louisiana, the game against the New Mexico State Aggies and the Nicholls State Colonels on September 4, 2008 has been postponed. A date for a make-up game has not been set at this time. This would have been the first ever meeting between the two schools.

“Obviously, we are disappointed that we won’t be playing our first football game of the season on Sept. 4,” Boston said. “With the recent history of hurricane damage in the state of Louisiana we understand their concerns for the safety of their players, coaches and administration. Our thoughts and prayers will be with them as hurricane Gustav approaches. Myself and the Nicholls State athletics director will begin to have discussions early next week about a possible make-up date for the game. ”

“First of all, our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Louisiana,” head coach Hal Mumme said. “These things are bigger than the game of football. Having lived in Louisiana I understand how scary these storms can be and how important it is to be near your families during these unsure times.”
Ironically, Nicholis Styate was NMSU's replacement game when the NMSU @ Wyoming game couldn't happen this year.

They're playing a school from Russia?

graunke is back! and just in time.

the rest of our opponents didn't fare so well.

hopefully oregon st isn't too mad after getting blown out by penn st. this'll be an interesting to game with graunke playing the whole game. the phoenix has risen!

new mexico state must be itching to play a game. their season opener was postponed and have yet to play a down.

the fresno state vs wisconsin (at fresno) will be a good test to see how good each team is.

anyways, back on the winning track!

You can set your watch on wyokie misspelling words and not proofreading. It's about as normal as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. :-

dammit
we haven't lost like this in awhile.
anyways, we aren't the only ones losing.
who would've thought that these other teams would lose this weekend:

Florida goes down to Ole Miss
Georgia's black out does nothing against Bama
Michigan comes back to beat Wisconsin

it'll be a long season for us. its not over. hope the guys can bounce back this week against a tough Fresno team that just beat up on UCLA.

Re: 2008 UH Schedule and Opponent Schedules Week 6 results-WIN!!

Post by chawan_cut »

Awww yeah.
what a win by Hawaii. going to the dog pound and taking away a win!

boise continues to run thru the wac competion.

up next is la tech who didn't fare so well against boise. they have a good RB though. hope their QB is as inaccurate as he was this week.

fresno goes down. there goes their ranking and their bcs hopes.

washington state continues to look ugly in their losses.

i'm exhausted. time to sleep.
