Fill in gas, be safe. Don't hoard.

That storm sure is making a beeline towards the State, isn't it? I wonder if the volcanoes on the Big Island and Maui will slow it down like they did with Iselle. Coming up on a similar path. Also need a strong jet stream to take off the top like it did with Iselle. Stay safe everyone. And Costco Waipio was out of stock on SPAM on Wednesday night.

Let's hope so. But some models have it missing the big island and hit Oahu directly. Here's a website that shows real time wind conditions.

I would suppose that because of COVID-19 that most people should have more than enough toilet paper to last them into the next century.

On Oahu there's still time for some last minute hurricane prep. My neighbors have been taking Hurricane Douglas seriously and my next door neighbor has even boarded up their large window. Something that family has never done for any previous hurricanes in the past. Also, just in case there's a power outage tonight, charge your cell phones and other mobile devices ASAP.

Stay safe everyone!

2 of my neighbors have boarded up their windows. I hope the hurricane stays on its course and just misses us on Oahu.

Whew. My neighbors all calmly did what they felt they had to do to prepare - boarding up windows, cleaning out drains and weepholes though retaining walls, tying down refuse bins, etc. Went to Costco late Saturday and saw lots of bottled water on palates in different locations and the shelves appeared to be well-stocked with everything including batteries. Only saw one person buying a generator. There was a calmness in the store. The gas station was crowded, though. Good thing I gassed up our cars during the week - although we can't drive that far. Old habit, I guess.
